My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love to meet new people, but I'm a very different sort of person. Almost to the point where it becomes very hard to find people I get along with. I have an old fashioned sense of behavior and I enjoy a lot of things that most people have never heard of or find dull. When I try and tell my friends about the last concert I went to, no one will ever have heard of the band and are never quite as excited as I am. I'm a geek with a taste for gothic metal, horror movies, and a love of New England Patriots football alongside a strong distaste for baseball. All in all, I'm a really fun person as people find out once they decide to give me a second chance after my initial awkward first impression.

I am selfless, dark, and shy
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated UMass Amherst with a degree in Sociology and a certificate in Criminal Justice... neither of which I was able to use to get me a job I was interested in. So now I'm back in school at MCC to obtain a quick two year associates degree in Biotechnology which will allow me to get an entry level position as a labroratory technician. It's funny, because in high school biology was my worst subject, and even now I worry that this may not make me happy.

It's complicated though. Somewhere along the way I began feeling like an artist. Photographer, musician, writer, actor... specifics didn't matter. I wanted to spend my life being creative. However as fate would have it I never had the talent for any of that. The reality of it all is that most of those children with dreams of becoming presidents, astronauts, and football players grow to accept their positions as accountants, bank managers, and software engineers. So as much as it hurts I have to tear myself away from the world of books and music and accept my place in the world of science. This realization came to me not long ago when I was sitting in a chemistry class with a chemistry text in one hand as I explained to some other students how to chart a solubility curve while at the same time attempting to read Tristan and Iseult which I had in my other hand. I felt like I was a part of two totally seperate and opposite worlds.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people feel better --- Learning about subjects that interest me --- Making homemade soup --- Collecting junk --- Anything competitive
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People always tell me that I'm very quiet. That's because I don't know you. I don't know what to talk to you about, I don't know what your personality is like, and I don't want to say anything stupid to embarass myself. The best friends I have are people I at one point was forced to be around on a regular basis, such as college roomates, who had no choice but to get to know me and earn my trust. Most other people who I meet for the first time often judge me by that first impression, which really isn't me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books- (I kinda have a Pre-1900's European book fetish. I can't tolerate most American literature or modern authors.)

The Sorrows of Young Werther, Faust, Tristan & Iseult, Don Quixote, The Canterbury Tales, The Decameron, Dracula, Inferno, Helter Skelter, Harry Potter, If Not Winter, The poetry of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and comics like Serenity Rose, Fables, and Y, the Last Man

Movies - I love Horror movies. I study the history of Horror, foreign films, directors, and the theme trends over the decades. I'm VERY picky about the endings of movies, so if I don't like a movie, that's probably why. I also like other movies as well, but Horror is almost a hobby to me.

Andy Warhol's Blood for Dracula, Cemetery Man, and Black Sunday are my three favorites, but I also love Leprechaun in the Hood 2, Bela Lugosi's Dracula, Return of the Living Dead 3, May, Edward Scissorhands, American Psycho, the Saw franchise, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack Frost, High Tension, Rebecca, and a few non-horror... True Romance, Bad Santa, Star Wars, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Serenity, The Sting, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Hard Candy, Tristan and Isolde, and Lars and the Real Girl

Music - Nothing like coming back from an incredible concert and trying to brag about it to people who have never heard of the band and just don't quite understand how infrequently some of these bands tour. =\

Within Temptation, Tristania, Leaves Eyes, Lacuna Coil, The Birthday Massacre, Pre-Musique Theatre of Tragedy, Epica, Elis, Echoes of Eternity, Nightwish, Carnarium, Arch Enemy, Bad Religion, Elvis, Bon Jovi, Anti-Flag, The Dresden Dolls, Dragonforce*

*- Note: My enjoyment of Dragonforce isn't really someting to be taken seriously. Dragonforce is a perfect guilty pleasure band. Every song is the same, the lyrics aren't at all that meaningful, but even so the sound is just awesome and the music is so Metal it makes you want to fly to the North Pole on a guitar, punch Santa Claus, and get wasted on elf beer. That about sums up Dragonforce.

I enjoy Seafood. Fried Squid, Octopus, and Shrimp are the tastiest little animals in the whole ocean.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I often worry that the world will end, and thousands of years later alien archaeologists will discover our ancient civilization but they are only able to salvage a stack of John Grisham novels and a Hanson cd. These become published on the alien homeworld and the originals get put into a museum and are labled as representative of Earth culture. This is our legacy.
