I'm a "thinker," which means that sometimes I can spend a little too much time in my head. You probably won't get bored talking to me, but you may tell me to be quiet. I'm here because I'd like to meet girls outside the typical L.A. social settings. I figured that I would cast a wider net. I'm sure many ladies are here for a similar reason.

Based on what others have told me, I'd say that I am friendly, helpful, loyal, determined, ambitious, witty, a smart ass, intellectually curious, generous with my time, energetic, pragmatic, dependable, mature, sincere, and cosmopolitan. Did I mention "modest" too? That's my second best quality. ;) I'm also somewhat old fashioned and personally conservative, but politically left of center. Go figure.

Seriously though, I'm not an arrogant guy at all. I feel confident in my abilities, skills, and know what I'm good at. But I also will readily admit to what I suck at and what needs improvement. I'm a pretty introspective person and I tend to be rather brutally honest with myself.

I'm originally from Los Angeles, for whatever that's worth. I don't know if I'll be a lifelong L.A. resident, but I'm pretty sure that I'll stay somewhere in Cali long term.

I love physical activity and taking advantage of all the crazy and fun things that L.A. and California have to offer, like, hiking, live shows at small clubs, riding my beach cruiser all over town, playing tennis, attending the Coachella Music Fest every year, hanging in Malibu or Santa Barbara for the day, flying to San Francisco for the weekend . . .

I'm content with where I am, where I've come from, and where I think I might be headed. Nothing is perfect of course, but I like life. I work hard at my profession and I really enjoy it for the most part, but I also have many other interests and passions. I'm not a workaholic.

Helping people and making them feel good about their situation in life, whatever that may be. Problem solving. Advocating on behalf of others. Keeping secrets. Finding hidden gems of great albums, songs, books, or films. Pointing out the obscure or absurd.

Hmm ... sometimes my eyes. That I don't abuse the English language. That I'm rather direct. I guess it depends on the person who meets me. People tend to be surprised to learn that I grew up in Los Angeles.

I'm read the L.A. Times, Daily Journal, Slate.com, and other assorted legal, business, investing, political, economic, pop culture, and travel crap. I read A LOT.

Rock and blues music. Decent literature. The occasional walk or bike ride by myself. Clean underwear. Homeless guys to remind me that I'm sane. The opportunity to keep learning.

No, I sometimes think about the following, in no order of importance or likelihood of realization:

Will I ever buy or sell a business on Ebay or Craigslist?

Will I find my next girlfriend NOT online?

Will I ever succeed in eating all the vegetables I buy from the store without them spoiling first?

Should I start my own cult?

Eating, drinking, walking, dancing, yelling, telling naughty jokes, looking at art, watching movies, listening to music, reading, etc. Anything and everything. I'm not sure I have that many typical Friday nights.

Get me drunk and you might find out.

You are interested in finding something that can lead to a real relationship with long-term potential. I really want to respond to the right girl. The most important attribute in who I'm looking for is integrity. I can't be with a girl who is not honest, sincere, and ethical. I also want to find a big-hearted girl who is very sweet and caring, but not so emotional that her heart always crowds out rational thought. However, nothing is more of a turn off than an overly conservative, serious, or heartless gal. You should enjoy helping people other than yourself in ways small and large. You should be fun-loving, classy, possessing somewhat traditional values. If you have a witty or sarcastic sense of humor that can be a big turn on. I also like girls who are intellectually curious or inspired. It's nice to meet people who take an interest in knowing what's going on in the world. If you have a great sense of fashion and style, that's a plus also.
