My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Almost completely literal circus geek. Stopping just short of biting the heads off chickens, but don't mind using my engineering degree to rig aerial equipment.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I grew up in Chicago, went to school in Michigan, and spent a few years in rural Georgia working on one of the largest things to ever fly. I'm currently in Seattle working on a more... civilian project.

So, still pretty new to Seattle, definitely keeping myself busy with all the fun hobbies that you can pick up around here. Who would have thought that access to a laser cutter and 3D printer would bring so much joy to my life?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, other than circus stuff (straps and flying trapeze lately), I make one hell of a cocktail.
The first things people usually notice about me

Chances are good I'm upside down.

Things that I've seen/watched/read/eaten/drunk recently that I'd probably geek out over with pretty much anyone that brought them up:

Seriously considering watching every Kurosawa movie, but I'll probably stop at the most well-regarded third or so.

Book: Longitude. I've always loved clocks and watches, but this gave me a wonderful appreciation for the early days of really precise engineering. Also convinced me to finally get going on building my clock.

TV: GoT is great and all, but Bob's Burgers makes me unconditionally happy. And has given me a new appreciation for butts.

Music: I could probably listen to this ( on repeat for the rest of my life and be happy. This ( hits some hidden sweet spot inside me too, for some reason.

Food: So long, cherry season, I'll think of you often. On to the apples!

Drink: Finally got a bottle of Creme de Violette, got obsessed with Aviations.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Usually whatever weird scientific advancement I read about most recently. The Rosetta pictures (and the color-corrected ones) are gorgeous.

Also Batman.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I really like going to cocktail bars and watching the bartenders make fancy drinks. It's very relaxing, watching someone who is very good at what they do, just moving and mixing and making. Plus, it gives me ideas for home and I can drink while I watch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My favorite gift this year was a puzzle with a mean solving time in the hundreds of hours. I'm excited.

You have a funky hobby that you want to show off. Like, if you study words that use a q without u to improve your scrabble score, or you're a secret pool shark, or can knit mathematically interesting shapes. First dates should be about finding out what awesome things there are that you never thought to try before.

What's the shibboleth these days? GGG?
