I'm personable, energetic, and often my friends are my family.. I'm ALWAYS up for learning more. Although I've been in LA for nearly three years now, I'm still trying to explore more. I'm all about being around my family, as well as helping/supporting others. I appreciate external validation but rarely seek it. I always put the seat down.

I'm a private tutor helping to improve English for non-native speakers- as well as help various students in their respective assignments- from grade school to college level.

I have an acute ear for languages- particularly Spanish, English, and Japanese. I've got a refined eye for art- specifically:photography, pottery, poetry and prose.

to be 100% honest-- I endured a serious snowboarding accident while living in New Zealand a decade ago. I have since acquired a superficial disability, such that I'm not as strong as I used to be. I have physical deficits, but I'm still totally on point and present really well, so nobody has a clue what I endured until I explain my past. Indeed, I once heard a fitting quote that, "It's not a disability- it's a different ability."

I like reading fiction mostly. My favorites include Bukowski, classics such as Beowulf, Dostoevsky, Herman Hesse, Aldous Huxley and Italo Calvino(If on A Winter's Night A Traveler). My favorite films include Baraka, The Usual Suspects, What The Bleep Do We Know!?, Big Lebowski, Amelie, Departed, King's Speech, Heartworn Highways, Walk The Line, Murderball, andMallrats. My music taste is diverse and extensive, but I LOVE Townes Van Zandt, Os Mutantes, Wu-Tang Clan, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan]], Mike Patton, Cibo Matto, The Beatles, Charles Mingus,Pavement, Lucinda Williams, Radiohead, Beck, The Shins, and David Bowie.
For food, I love Thai the most, followed closely by Mexican, Italian, and sushi. I've developed an affinity for fresh figs from the farmer's market!
I'm not big on t.v.- except for Jeopardy, 60 Minutes, Breaking Bad and live sports.
