My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Update Nov '14:
It's time to embrace aspects of who I am and encourage that growth in myself. Generally, I hope you all do the same, but I really want to match others who are on the same page. If this sounds like you, please reach out. Friends are important, play partners are important, romance and connection just as much.

With that, I'm headed into discovering more about my Polyamorous leanings. I've been in successful open relationships. I want to explore my kinks, support sex positive approaches, fetish. It's time to twist my world sideways a little.

Join me on this journey?

I'm looking for my people. Male or female friends, let's talk.
//////

I'm a singer, massage therapist and DIYer. I've been here for almost two years, but grew up in Olympia, WA, college in Pullman, WA and Portland, OR for over a dozen years.

I can be a big nerd, dorking out on how to turn an old propane tank into a camp stove, turning 20lbs of persimmon into wine, researching the best route of hammock setup for my next hang, all while learning new massage techniques.

I love making things. I've made cheese, roasted coffee, countless batches of beer, kombucha, and wine. I've been spotted with a circular saw, scheming out a gray water setup, rebuilding the Craigslist popup camper I bought for $40...I have a hundred projects and feel useless if I'm not working with my hands.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working as a massage therapist throughout the LA area, building up to a point where I can own my own space and fill it with talented health care practitioners or as a successful independent.

I'm trying to always figure out what motivates me. I've worn so many hats over the years, by way of different careers, and wellness and health have been what motivates me.

I'm trying to do a hike and overnight camp once every month and explore the area.

Lately, I've been working on my 80s motorcycle. The biggest job so far was rebuilding the carburetors.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at figuring you out. For example, you just narrowed your eyes at that statement.

Spot on, huh?

Really though, it's touch...I listen.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Some say I look like a young Paul Newman, but it's usually the standard "eyes" most people get.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Robert A. Heinlein and Philip K. Dick -they have some great novels and short stories. Larry Niven, Anne McCafferey, Piers Anthony have also inspired me.

I listen to a wide range of music, but veer toward Tool, Gavin DeGraw, Brandi Carlile, Black Keyes and Queens of the Stone Age. Amos Lee is in there, along with Jesca Hoop and a big mixture of others. I subsisted on James Taylor for awhile in my youth, then rock got its hold on me.

I was lucky enough to work as Security at a great music venue in Portland and saw some cool music come through. One of my favorites was Colin Hay.

Like a lot of people, I'm enjoying Walking Dead, but it's been screechingly slow at times. Also, after all that time, wouldn't you be jumpy as hell? I want to see them duck when a pin drops. Game of Thrones, Fringe was awesome, American Horror Story and so on.

Mexican food, Italian, Thai, Indian, Bar Food (sparingly), and I'm usually down to try something new. Being fed is important.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1-Honesty
2-Challenges
3-Touch
4-Paradigm Shifts
5-Outdoor Play
6-Humility
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think the alien apocalypse is more likely than the zombie apocalypse...we need to plan!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
This could be many things. LA is huge and full of surprises.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm using all of your music interests to look up some new shit! So far, it's hit or miss...thanks a lot. Oh, and I never got past season 2 of Breaking Bad. I know, I know, but it was their job to hook me in.

You'd like to meet!

I'm not interested in dinner out for a first date. I'm into a coffee, a bite or a beer, then see how things roll out with conversation.
You have similar passions, but also bring newness to the table.

You're a funny, nerdy girl with a great heart. You're a respectful and aware guy who is up for a new friend.

You like a man with strong hands.
