Just a guy from Massachusetts, living in New York City, but
traveling when I can.
I love nature, interesting thoughts, science, culture, politics,
ethics, exploration. All the classics from the Enlightenment.
I try to see the world clearly. I really want to learn to scuba.
What I’m doing with my life
Working for Google doing analysis, strategy, and operations stuff,
but I'm starting to think about what I'd like to accomplish
I'd like to get out of the corporate world and do something
meaningful with my time, but I do have a great job.
In my free time I read, travel, take Mandarin lessons (我说中文说地一点),
keep up on current events, and sift through way too much internet
detritus. Sometimes I host dinner parties.
I’m really good at
Planning ludicrously detailed travel itineraries. Staying up until
2am. Going for walks. Solving problems.
Long distance running. I was up to 17 miles last fall, I need to
get back into it.
The first things people usually notice about me
Eyes. They change colors.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right now I'm reading...
Graham Greene: The Quiet American
Erik Larson: Thunderstruck
The New Yorker (finally got a subscription, suh-weeeet)
Also, watching every BBC nature documentary on Netflix and YouTube.
The six things I could never do without
Nature, books, food, cities, friends, goals.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to treat people.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a low key bar with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Almost anything, I'm pretty unguarded.
You should message me if
You want to grab a beer some night after work.
