My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a big fan of comedy in all forms, especially standup. I particularly like Louis CK, Ricky Gervais, Aziz Ansari, Norm MacDonald, Brian Regan (mostly his older stuff), and Bill Cosby. I'm pretty introverted, but I know how to go out and have a good time and keep almost anybody entertained. I fly my nerd flag high, loud and proud!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Building my career, raising my puppy, staying healthy, and being as entertained as possible the rest of the time.

I work in IT, a network administrator type of thing. I'm trying to transition to a datacenter/help desk role to eventually become a datacenter manager, or transition in database work from there. I plan on going back to school for an MBA within the next few years to aid in that progression.

I recently got a dog. I've lived with dogs for most of my life, however this is the first one I've taken care of on my own. It's a challenge but well worth it - Vinny is a one year old German Shepherd/Beagle mix, and he's adorable and very sweet. I love him to bits (When he isn't destroying my carpet and the things I hold dear).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
* Sarcasm
* Hyperbole
* Multi-tasking
* Overthinking
* Getting distracted
* Helping people solve problems
* Wiggling my eyebrows independently of one another
* Adapting to almost any situation - I'm very good at pattern recognition oh god I didn't format this correctly. ALMOST any situation.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Dark hair, glasses, either a dark brooding look or a big goofy smile. I'm complicated.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Sci-fi and Fantasy mostly. Wheel of Time, Stormlight Archives, Mistborn, Old Man's War, Excession, lots of other stuff. Brandon Sanderson is awesome. I'm reading the first book of Malazan right now, it's pretty compelling.

Movies: Comedy, Action, Drama, Thrillers, Eccentric, and cheesy Horror movies. I'm a sucker for any kind of monster movie. Jaws was my favorite movie for a long time when I was younger. Jurassic Park was probably my second favorite. I recently saw The Way Way Back and really liked it, probably because Sam Rockwell is the coolest.

Shows: Mostly comedy and occasionally some drama/scifi/action/other. Louie, Arrested Development, Archer, that sort of thing. Anything with Jon Benjamin. I used to watch Adult Swim a lot, not so much anymore. Space Ghost: Coast to Coast is the best show of all time, and if you disagree you can feel free to fight me to the death over it or whatever (I'm not a fanboi of anything, I promise). I recently watched Breaking Bad. SO GOOD.

Music: I was in a hip hop phase a little while ago, so I was listening to a lot of Tribe Called Quest, Dose One, the Grey Album, MF Doom, Lyrics Born, Dr. Octagon/Kool Keith/etc. I tend to fall back on IDM/electronic music. Favorites include Utabi, Squarepusher, Amon Tobin, Mu-ziq, Aphex Twin, Vorpal, Bogdan Raczynski, and Chris Clark. I also have a soft spot on my head for anything with awesome guitar-work, such as The Fucking Champs, some metal (particularly Mastodon), Buckethead, and lots of rock/classic rock.

Food: Lots of stuff. I'm Italian and I love Italian food. Any time I go to a new place/city/area/whatever I like to find good locally-owned places and check them out. I used to eat 4000 calories a day so I'm not terribly picky, but I have a deep appreciation for good food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Computers, People who don't know how to use computers, Large triangular weights that need to be lifted, progressive politics/ideologies and social justice (feminism, egalitarianism, socialism! support all the isms!), the art of comedy, a comfy bed, cuddles. Probably other stuff, you can't contain my needs with some arbitrary number bro. Commas.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The evolution of the world, the various societies in it, and the people in those societies. I love to watch TED talks and Freakonomics and learn about various interesting studies in economics, science, math, and all kinds of other stuff.

I spend a lot of time thinking about pretty much everything involved in my life, really, from the banal minutia to the grand scheme of it. I tend to intellectualize almost everything, and I spend a lot of time in my head. Unless there are people around me, and then I spend a lot of time in their heads. Literally. I'm a zombie. Sometimes you find that rare person with two brains... jackpot!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hopefully not working late, going to the gym, making a big dinner and relaxing. I love to hang out with friends, play board/card games, drink some beers and shoot the shit. I also have some awesome long-distance friends who I'll stay in and play video games with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a hairy Italian.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. like to be funny. Maybe we could be funny together? enjoy sci-fi or fantasy. I can talk about that shit all day, srs. By extension, if you like to talk about actual science as well, I'm an armchair theorist and dabbler in all interesting stuffs. want to link me to some profound TED talk and then wax philosophical about it for days. have some revolutionary new method to squat or deadlift or exercise in any way really. Healthy ladies are rad. want to talk.
