My self-summary
A Minnesotan, born and raised.

I spent the last ten years in Southern/central California and Portland, Before selling my condo and now I'm back in MN feeling a little like a newbie.

I've worked as a CSI the last seven years and am a story-teller to the core so this field has given me prime material from the various situations I have encountered.

I spent the summer restoring a vintage camper. I think the fact that I tackled this project speaks a lot to my commitment, my creativity, my desire to learn, and to my overall sense of adventure. I tend to really put my whole heart into what's important to me and it will be an awesome camper to take out and road trip with when all is said and done. 60% of the time, my projects turn out every time.

In my "free" time (what's that?) I enjoy playing hockey, watching sports, enjoying the great outdoors, traveling, general adventures, singing karaoke, photography, house projects, appreciating music, camping and backpacking (a plus if you know the difference) fantasy footballing, exploring, bonfires, yard games, cribbage, card games, motorcycling, playing instruments, eating cheese, freestyling in the kitchen/cooking, family, enjoying the fall, bicycling, bundling up, shooting pool, slinging darts, appreciating a good flavor on my palate, and working. I enjoy fishing and pheasant hunting, then making a kick ass meal to share.
What I’m doing with my life
Full time job and second job training as paid on-call firefighter.

Recently relocated to the Twin Cities after being away ten years.

Throwing together new recipes. I guess I'm a good at it.

Camping, riding a motorcycle, shuffling cards...

Bringing people together for fun and trying to meet new people to expand the social circle.

I'm a planner but am also spontaneous with the right people.
I’m really good at
Loading a dishwasher properly, pitching tents, finding ripe avocados, projects involving power tools, not using a forensic light when staying in hotel rooms, hockey and other rec sports, self-awareness, scouring thrift stores, and being a good family member and friend.

It's more fun to wait until someone is mid-swallow to make a silly comment so it's even better that many of my friends are medical professionals that can do CPR and know the Heimlich (which is apparently a patented term so the Red Cross is not allowed to use the term in their teachings. (I just learned that so it better be a question at pub trivia).
The first things people usually notice about me
People assume I am a lot younger than I am. I'm often told "you're always smiling!"

The six things I could never do without
Family/family reunions
Hockey skates/stick/puck
Speakers or live music to melt into
Camping gear
Being connected to my people
Anticipation of future adventures
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why Burger King hired the guy who narrates Forensic Files to do their TV ads.

I'm weird with recognizing voices.
On a typical Friday night I am
Variety is the spice of life to be cliche;

Might be in, might be out, staring at a bonfire, possibly putting some English on a pool ball, getting out of dodge, playing hockey, decompressing with friends, enjoying local establishments, cooking up a delicious feast, doing nothing, wishing I were 12 and playing kick the can.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Theres plenty I'll admit but I'm very animated and it's funnier when I act out the stories.

I've probably seen every episode of Forensic Files.
You should message me if
You can communicate well.
You're active.
You have a similar sense of humor (see TV/movies I have listed in above section).
You enjoy the card/board games.
You aren't shy about trying new foods.
You think we can entertain one another.
You're a tolerant person and accepting of others.
You have a damn sense of humor.

I'm trying to rebuild my life and expand the social circle. If you think we could hit it off as friends, that's cool too.

I probably won't be impressed by your abs selfie no matter how ripped you are. If that's what you have to do to sell yourself, I'm going to be bored with you pretty damn quick.
