How do you summarize your life in a text box? I'm gonna try the best I can, a statement which is an adequate start.
I'm a nice guy, and it doesn't pay off that often. Karma (not that I put much stock in it) has generally been good to me in life, with the exception of dating. It sure would be nice to find a sweet, fun, genuine girl.
Real quick general interests: I like disc golfing, being outdoors in the sun, long walks on the beach, kayaking, biking, working on my car, technology, and spending time with friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Moved to San Diego from CT a year ago, so recently I've just been trying to get out and do new things. Professionally, I'm a manager at an upscale La Jolla restaurant which keeps me busy most evenings.
I’m really good at
everything I attempt. Of course, it may take a few tries. Things I'm already good at include most things technology-related, making people laugh, and driving.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height, which is odd because I'm tall, but not THAT tall. (And
for the last time, I do NOT play basketball.) But after talking
with me for at least 15 seconds, people usually notice that I'm
really just a cool dude.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: too many to name, but tops include The Matrix, James Bond (and most action movies), Shawshank Redemption, SLC Punk!, In Bruges, Clerks II (along with many, many Kevin Smith and other comedies), and epic classics such as The Godfather, and Top Gun.
Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Bob Marley, Rebelution, Royksopp, Gorillaz, Nas, Kid Cudi, Eminem, Pink Floyd, and much
TV: Top Gear, Dexter, Weeds, Scrubs, Breaking Bad, South Park, It's Always Sunny, The League, Bob's Burgers, The Office.
Food: Juicy steaks and burgers, tacos, pizza, chicken parm, and candy. It's hard to find something I don't like. Except sushi. I hate sushi.
Books: The Count of Monte Cristo, 1984
The six things I could never do without
1. Friends and family (material things will move up and down the list, f&f will always be #1)
2. My car (the independence of owning a car is unmatched by most other things)
3. The sun
4. Contact lenses (and if not those, glasses. otherwise I'm blind.)
I'm running out of things to put here, wondering why they said top 6, so to be real...
6. Money (not because I am a super-material person, but because whether you like it or not, it makes the world go round. Having it makes things more convenient)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future. Both in terms of from the world's perspective and my
own personal future. They are important, and exciting!
If not the future, then my own flaws. What they are, why I have
them, and what (if anything) I can do to fix them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working. If I happen to have a day off, the possibilities are
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have over 150 Beanie Babies, and I'm not too eager to get rid of
them, despite all the space they are taking up.
