My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a weirdo punk whose trying really hard to be an adult. It doesn't always work, but half of my job is pretending and lying. I'm usually less of a wild card and a crazy person than I used to be (in the entirely literal mental health sense), but I still accidently mix whiskey and gin and go buck wild.

I really love science, interesting stories, weird phenomenon, dad jokes, and bad cultural references.

I really hate patriarchy, colonialism, white supremacy, capitalism, and so on. And people who pick specific pieces out of communal food. But really, I try to be a less fucked up person, while still being able to enjoy what I can and interact with almost everyone at their level. I was in the radical scene for most of my adult life, but it's too insular for me.

If you can out talk me about any of these subjects, I want to drink a beer or coffee with you:

- cryptozoology
- black industrial and dark drone music
- anti oppression education, specifically within science and coping with the emotional and physical abuse that comes with second hand trauma
- molecular biology, epidemiology evolutionary theory, zoology, or astrobiology
- strange movies that I may not have seen, specificiay sci and horror
- anything that you can do better than me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do about 5 jobs at an elementary school. I hate what public education is, but I try to shape critical thinkers who love fucking with people and draw monsters.

I'm learning how to build synthesizers from kits.

I'm working on having friends.

I am going to experience space before I die and read every book. I also want to experience every strange adventure I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Dad jokes, bad cultural references, and how to do everything a little. I am also really good at getting into fun theoretical arguments, like whether robots are alive and why Death in June are as big as they are in relation to historical fascism.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beard and my bad tattoos.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I do all of these things, a lot. Most of them are bad.

I read. It's a thing. I fluctuate between popular science (right now I'm in "Spillover"), ya, and science fiction. But really, I like anything with a good story, especially things with ghosts and tragedys.

I grew up at a DIY punk and metal venue in San Diego, and have evolved from there. I want to find music that sounds somewhere between dark drone, grimes, new order, and xiu xiu or mount eerie. It doesn't exist, but I'm working on it. I still find punk bands now and then that I like, but I all I really want is a dark folk album or weirdo pop.

I worked in a video store for a while, so
I've seen a lot. I want more super dark comedys and sci if tragedys. I just saw Vanishing Waves, and that fulfills half of it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
something new
something to take my mind off of everything awful
familiar things to make me feel less anxious
memories of my recently deceased ferret, tuba
a book
something that can pass as an instrument
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why humans had such a drastic evolutionary change. why people haven't just gotten over capitalism already. why jean luc godard hates women so much.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
i've had a recent routine of trying to write and record a song with a friend every week. but usually that involves beer and finding something to do at 1 am.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
this isn't the first time i'm rereading the animorphs series.
