My self-summary
Adjusting to being in my 30s. I'm sans glasses after getting a knee to the head at the Pissed Jeans show. Fun times.

I'm not always dressed up. It just seems that way. Chicago's native son, rad dude, West Philly resident, extroverted introvert, photographer, baker, awesome cook, handyman, dj/producer but not the pretentious hipster kind, snazzy dresser, chivalrous gentleman, feminist, supporter of equality, lover, fighter, I fight with love. I used to be a rancher. True story.

I comb my hair with a switchblade comb that my dad bought me when I was 12. I like pretty dark haired women and breakfast food. Let's see who gets that reference.

Why the shit are people always saying they're laid back? Chances are you're probably easily offended by dumb things.

I have two tattoos which are both Aztec related. One on my right forearm and another on my right side ribcage. I'm planning to get more. Maybe sleeves and a chest piece.

You've probably seen me in West Philly. I live and work here and know a shit ton of rad folks. It's very unlikely I can go anywhere without running into someone I know.
What I’m doing with my life
SNUG LIFE. Getting back into DJing so I can start playing parties and throw various music nights again. Insomnia. I'm a full-time kitchen stud. You've had the stuff i've made.
I’m really good at
Puns, snugs, massages, listening, baking the shit out of some cupcakes, cookies and other desserts, photography, DJing, making my own music, fixing stuff, cutting a rug, making espresso drinks, making the best french toast you ever had in your life. I'm a cat whisperer
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm brown? glasses? My face looks serious all the time
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just cracked open Tinkers by Paul Harding. The Road was a really great read even though it's pretty soul crushing. I just acquired a copy of Blood Meridian which I'm pretty excited to read

Movies: Ballast, Aguirre: The Wrath of God, No Country for Old Men, Thin Red Line, The Double Life of Veronique, The Limits of Control, Withnail and I, and ton of other artsy movies. There might be a romantic comedy in there somewhere. Yeah, I seen a few. I'm not ashamed.

Music: Broken Water, Necros, Pissed Jeans, Young Widows, Brian Eno, Burial, Low, My Bloody Valentine, Hammerhead, Eyehategod, Grouper, Swervedriver, Big Black, Throbbing Gristle, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, 2562 and many many more. Punk, hardcore, techno, metal, industrial, non-american dubstep, not the douchey annoying sounding kind (look up 2562 and burial to get what I mean), house, post-punk, no wave, and a ton of genres of music.

I listen to NPR pretty much all day at work

Food: Mexican, Ethiopian, Indian, Molecular Gastronomy, New American, blah, blah. If you're ever in Chicago and have a ton of money I suggest trying to get into Alinea. That place changed my whole perspective on food.
The six things I could never do without
Music
Authentic Mexican food. West Philly lacks this and Honest Tom's and Guacamole get the gas face. In Chicago it's everywhere and cheap and GOOD.

Water
Glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why the hell am I on this site. How much I want a dog. Why some dudes are wearing winter hats while it's hot outside. You look like a douche not edgy, "brah." How rad of a scar my hand is developing. Getting my camp and canoe on. Why most of my higher matches are in NY. Having my own taco truck that isn't pricey and other food related business ventures. Drawing some plans up for the summer and hoping I can make it happen.

How more awesome I am than these schmucks ----->
On a typical Friday night I am
Sundays are my Friday nights now. Working, drinking, playing records at home, play fighting with Wild Bill, or going to some show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing to my cat. Cats and dogs love me. If I'm at a party and there is a cat there then there is a 90% chance that it's on my lap. Same with dogs.

I may come off as a softie on here but I like to be dominant when it comes bedroom antics. I can also be a gentleman. That said, I'm not just on here to get laid.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–38

You should message me if
First and foremost if you don't tip or tip cheaply then I want nothing to do with you whatsoever

You're Liz Lemon or Winona Ryder circa Beetlejuice. I usually go for the pale, gothy, punk, and short haired ladies but don't let that scare you off.

You don't mind our first date is at Sizzler. I'll even let you pick off their value menu! I got this!

Chances are I keep looking at your profile but am unsure what to say perhaps due to my average height and some women like taller men or the fact you're just too rad. Damn my genes and my writer's block. I don't mind if you're taller.
