My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a nice guy. I'm smart, I'm funny, and I love to give massages.

I'm an INTJ, I'm kinda geeky but still somewhat street-smart, and I'm a little bit love shy. I like cute things, soft things, fuzzy things, trippy things, cats, candles, slinkies, kaleidoscopes, small fiddly objects, reflections on the surface of water, those crystals that you hang in windows to make little rainbows, healthy plants, pretty marbles, shiny metal, and cuddling. Lots of cuddling.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm taking an Aquaculture (fish farming) course at Fleming, now, with an eye on combining it with *plant* farming (Aquaponics). I love synergistic integration, even though I hate clichés... >_>

The eventual plan, though, is to save a good chunk of every paycheck until I can afford to buy a nice big piece of land and build my own house (maybe in Ecuador? I hear good things), then do something simple and laid-back there, like raise crops or small, fuzzy animals or maybe generate and sell electricity. Calm, productive stuff that leaves me plenty of free time to mess around with weird experiments, like blacksmithing or glassblowing or building an artificial intelligence to usher in the singularity.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, thinking & planning. I don't do much, but when I do something, I do it well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, maybe my deep brown eyes or impish grin, or my snazzy-looking glasses... or maybe just that I wear a lot of dark clothes even though I have a white cat.
I asked a friend to answer this for me, and she said, "You're usually quiet and reserved."

I'd add some extra emphasis on that 'usually' because sometimes I'll get a fun idea in my head and then I'll ditch my calm demeanour and run around being frantic and weird.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Ender's Game & Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card. Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan. Snowcrash, Diamond Age, and The Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. The Collapsium by Wil McCarthy. Anything in the Recluce series by L.E. Modesitt. Terry Pratchett's Discworld is good candy-reading, too, of course.

Movies: The Matrix, Ghost in the Shell, Fight Club, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, et cetera... but really? The Matrix is the best damned thing ever put to film, and I have yet to see anything that even compares to it.

Shows: Firefly, Stargate, Star Trek, Red Dwarf, Lexx, Archer, Dexter (first few seasons only), Mitchell & Webb, The I.T. Crowd, Arrested Development, and (up until the latest season where they ditched Dan Harmon) Community (Wait: yay! He's back, now!).

Music: My absolute favourite piece of music is Bach's Fugue in G Minor... I don't usually listen to classical music 'cause most of it is too pretentious and boring, but rare pieces can be gorgeous. However, I also like more current classics... like, say, pretty much any song that's five years old or more and still being listened to by people. Also: Irish folk stuff, modern techno (acid/progressive/psy-trance), alternative/punk/rock/whatever... just nothing aggressive or whiny. Anything with good *music*, rather than just 'amazing lyrics.'

Food: I'm part Irish and part French Canadian, so naturally my favourite food is poutine. I swear, Irish people must have a genetic affinity for potatoes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, I've always taken great interest in learning about basic survivalist skills and off-the-grid technologies... as if one day I might somehow be solely responsible for starting society over again from scratch. So, if you're asking what six things I'd want in *that* situation, then I think I'd go with:

1) A laptop.
2) A big sheet of flexible solar panels.
3) A multitool with a flint fire-striker.
4) A big bag of assorted plant seeds.
5) A rechargeable flashlight.
6) Company.

There... now when do we leave? :D
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Starting an herb & honey farm. Building a house out of diamond. Growing Yggdrasil. Radical social reform. Building an orbiting colony-ship. Living inside a hollowed-out asteroid. Terraforming Venus and living in a biosphere floating atop the clouds of acid.

...yeah, lotsa stuff. Generally my mind is focused on the future, or delving into its own inner workings, but like I said in the previous question, I also love to think and learn about everything I'd need to know if I were suddenly the only person left alive with an education. Hunting, farming, finding and making use of resources (this one is especially fun), efficient building strategies, basic social theory, and of course, as much simple physics, chemistry and medicine as I can remember (don't forget how to make penicillin! That's a big one!)

Needless to say, my favourite games are city-simulators. ^_^
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually at home playing videogames or reading interesting articles on the web, or, with any luck, out exploring the wilderness with a group of like-minded friends. I'm pretty introverted, though, so I tend to stay in most of the time. Bars and dance clubs are far too noisy for me, and the thought of bringing someone home from one does not interest me. I'd only go if I knew in advance that I'd like the music, or if I had a friend to leech enthusiasm out of. (I tend to mirror the emotions of whoever I'm with...so who I am around you depends a *lot* on what sort of person *you* are. No pressure, though. :p)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have *mild* Asperger's and ADD... not so much that you'd notice it at first if you weren't looking for it, but certainly enough that knowing about it helps explain my personality. In other words, I'm easily amused, easily distracted, and I tend to be more logical than emotional. Cynical, even, although I'm a long-suffering optimist at heart. You'll see. I'm *adorable* if you're the right kind of person. :p

Aside from that, I'm willing to admit pretty much anything if you ask me directly. I know very little of this 'shame' thing of which other people sometimes speak... >_>

You're nice! :D
I like nice people. Kind, honest, friendly people who love to smile and laugh and play! OR kind, honest, friendly people who are now sad or lonely or withdrawn because life is cruel to nice people.

You should definitely message *me*, though, because I don't message anyone anymore. I've given up trying to compete with and being compared to a sea of horny guys.
