My self-summary
I'm a beer brewing, thrill seeking, paranormal investigating, computer building, adventure pursuing, stock investing, super geek with a dual degree in Information Systems and Accounting. (I have no idea why I decided to get a degree in bean counting...I actually found I hate it.) I'm fiercely independent, and proud to say I moved out at 19 and paid for my own college education, car, and house. (Okay still working on the house loan but the others are done.) There's a whole world out there and I'm setting out to conquer and explore it, right after I finish my chakra meditation.
What I’m doing with my life
I love my job, and I'm comfortable in my position in the company I work at; things are going perfect there. But being a computer guru, I spend much of the time typing idly at my desk, and I've gained a bit of weight working there. My current focus in life is to undo all that sitting around. I want to get in shape, and get active, and eat healthy. I'm ready for a new me, and I'm pouring all my energy into making this happen. I figure once I get the active body and lifestyle I want; the confidence will soon follow. :)

With that said, I'm working on eating healthier with meal preps, and going to the gym at least 4 times a week. I'm taking this lifestyle VERY seriously. My cardio of choice....swimming, it's like your flying.

The hardest part is letting go of beer, I console myself by telling me it's only temporary.
I’m really good at
I'm a military brat, which means I've traveled quite a bit during my childhood. It also means I had to make a whole new set of friends every 3-5 years. I'd like to imagine this made me better at making friends and talking to people.

I'm also pretty good at computers, "Yo dawg I heard you like computers so I put computers in your computer so you can compute while you compute." <-- how I explain working in the cloud.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
There's something about Fight Club that's always spoken to me. So many fantastic quotes, and Brad Pitt's monologue, done impromptu was fantastic.

I like quirky movies and scifi quite a bit so... Big Fish, I love you Philip Morris, Cloud Atlas, and Pan's Labyrinth, The Fountain, and finally the first Matrix come to the top of my mind.

TV shows
I like sci-fi and dark humor, so for tv we have: Archer, Workaholics, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Dark Mirror < (I love how there's not really a happy ending in these stories), Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, Lost, and Futurama.

Yes it gets its own category; my all time favorites has to be full metal alchemist and since its "main stream" its tied for the lesser known Assassination Classroom. With those two out of the way if you haven't seen Madoka Magica on Netflix go watch it. It starts out all cute and you wonder "what am I watching" then it goes dark.

My current read is Cloud Atlas, so far it's been fantastic; each chapter is written in a different style, and time period. The vocabulary is extensive and the author is really pushing my intellect and reading silks...So I love it.

Other books I enjoy: Sphere, Timeline, The Stand, Animorphs, Jurassic Park, The Martian, Invisible Monsters and books on Linux.
The six things I could never do without
1.) Friends and family; I count my friends as family and my family as friends.
2.) A sense of adventure; just got back from Italy and I'm planning my next trip to somewhere not in the US
3.) My wallet and keys...I always tend to have a bad day if I don't being those along.
4.) A touch of silliness, no need to be serious ALL the time.
5.) Goals and ambitions, its fun to have a side project to keep you busy like a hobby or something; and you should always take pride in your work.
6.) Some really good beer in my fridge, self explanatory.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think in the modern age we spend so much time thinking about "the next best thing" that we don't appreciate what we really have around us. The next best movie, the next car, the next kitchen gadget, or iPhone. I miss a time when things were even though I work in technology, I love doing things manually; and I love forgetting my phone at home.

In a world where we are constantly connected and programmed to upgrade everything disconnecting is freedom.
On a typical Friday night I am
It's so hard to say what a typical Friday night is like, I work the next day so I usually don't stay out too late (anything past midnight and I'll turn into a pumpkin).

So on my weekend, I like to go out drinking with or hookah-ing with co workers, playing board games at a friend's house, or going for coffee and taking a good book along. I like to mix it up.
You should message me if
If you're up for going out on an adventure and just having a good time, or if you just want someone to talk with.
