Howdy howdy everybody! Thanks for taking the time to check out my INSANELY long, and random profile. I hope I make a good impression :P

I'm a bit of a dissident especially for living in Texas. I really enjoy getting out of the house and finding random things to do in order to have a good time, but I'm also just as comfortable (probably more so) spending the night in and having a great time. I like to hang out with friends when I can, go out to see a movie or maybe bowl (I'm horrible but it is something I enjoy for some reason), or just relax at home and watch some netflix. I also really love to dig into some video games, but don't let that scare you off as I'm not like your ex who would chose a video game over you. :P

The most important thing to know about me is that I am, and always will be, a big kid at heart (heck just check out my pictures of me acting like a big goofball). Most people, even the other programmers at work, consider me to be a total nerd/geek. I'm pretty easy going, definitely would consider myself more laid back instead of being so uptight, and I'm what you would call an open book. Of course all of that depends on my mood and surroundings, and I also know when to take my responsibilities seriously. I'm the type of guy who is friendly, helpful, and easy to get along with. Though I will admit that I put on a big front so that I won't get taken advantage of.

I love making people laugh (or at least trying), cracking up at the oddities in life (I work with one...don't worry we joke like that all the time...I'm not just being mean ^.~), and laughing at myself. Humor adds to your life and I'd definitely consider myself a sarcastic and witty guy. Oh, and I'm a night owl, not always by choice. That's why you might find me here at odd hours. Hey, I wouldn't doubt you're reading this at an atypical hour as well, so don't judge me monkey hah :p.

I'm very honest, open minded, and plainspoken as well (I think I just covered this 2 paragraphs up didn't I? Oh well I bet you already skipped past this section anyways, right? :P). I'm a guy who enjoys the simple things in life. Some days I'd even go far as to say that I also enjoy the complex things in life (there's my particular brand of sarcasm cropping up again, dang it all!). I try my best to be straightforward with everyone, but not in a rude manner. Being compassionate and motivated are two terms that strongly describe who I am.

And since a handful of people have their "type" on their websites I guess I'll go ahead and mention that I have a friend that is into it as well who has labeled me as an ENTP.

Saving money, contemplating the grand meaning of life, trying to figure out why I keep coming up with the answer 42.

Also, I've graduated from college (woot woot!!) and I currently work as a computer programmer. I love being able to work in a field that I really enjoy doing something I'm really good at.

I'm also working on improving my appearance/health. I just got contacts this year for the first time ever and I'm also working on losing some weight. Not to toot my own horn (toot toot!) but I'm down 20% total from where I started at the beginning of the year and I must hear about how great I look 3 to 4 times a day...so please ladies come up with a more original line than how sexy my butt looks in my plaid work shorts. Actually what am I saying?? Keep those emails coming ladies!! ;P

-Fixing stuff, anything but cars. I'll leave that to the professionals, heh.
-Driving (at least I like to think so, either way I really like driving for some odd reason so if you're looking for a chauffeur with 2 thumbs look no farther than this guy!...hrm...maybe that joke only works in person).
-Reading people (and no, I'm not talking about the girls who write juicy on their butt and then get mad when guys read it, lol.)
-Video games
-Programming, it is what I do for a living after all!
-Making lame jokes, sometimes they can actually even be funny!
-Pretty much anything that requires logical thinking.
-People watching, and then narrating conversations that people are probably thinking and not saying... it's a damn good time (I stole this from a profile because I do this without thinking about it so I must be really good at it right??? :P)

I'm not really sure as no one has ever told me, buuuut I imagine I might look intimidating since I'm a all around big guy?
And if you don't think I look intimidating then what are you waiting for? You obviously got this far so either I'm damn good at keeping you entertained or you're looking for the one reason to tell yourself it'll never work out between us. Either way I'm the king of sticking my foot in my mouth which makes for great entertainment purposes so pull up a bowl of popcorn and a handi wipe (nothing worse than a slippery popcorn flavored keyboard).

These lists are just some of my favorites. I tried to keep everything except movies pretty short but big enough to show you some of my interests. However, I probably didn't even list half of my favorite movies and look how big that section got!

Books - Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Orc's Series, The Shadow of the Wind, The Pit Dragon Trilogy (which is actually 4 books, lol), Harry Potter, Hunger Games Series. I like to read and I've really gotten into reading during my lunches at work.

Movies - Avengers, Pulp Fiction, Shaun of the Dead, Donnie Darko, Step Brothers, Little Nicky, Hangover, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Zombieland, Grandma's Boy, Iron Man, Superbad, Back to the Future, The Book of Eli, (500) Days of Summer, Taken, The Next Three Days, 40 Days and 40 Nights, Scott Pilgrim Versus the World, Bedazzled, The Speed of Thought, What Women Want, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Old School, The Mechanic, Crank, The Shawshank Redemption, Yes Man, Anger Management, Inception, Limitless, The Expendables, Big Lebowski, Easy A, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Butterfly Effect, Death Race, 50 First Dates, How to Train Your Dragon, Clerks, Captain America: The First Avenger, I Love You Phillip Morris. I also like stand up comedies and would love to see one in person one day. Pretty much anything by Kevin Smith. Pretty much anything with Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Bruce Willis, Simon Pegg, Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Jason Statham, Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Will Ferrell, or Samuel Jackson in it.

Shows - Californication, How I Met your Mother, Stargate, Eureka, Chuck, Family Guy, South Park, Trigun, Full Metal Alchemist, Tosh.0, Firefly, Dead Like Me, The Twilight Zone, Doctor Who, My Name is Earl, Sliders.

Music - Adele (I love Set Fire to the Rain), Foster the People, Foo Fighters, Disturbed, Shinedown, Silversun Pickups, Jimmy Eat World, Metallica, Nirvana, Papa Roach, Rammstein, 30 Seconds to Mars, Sum41, Jet, Everclear, Cake, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Fallout Boy, 311, All-American Rejects, and many more. I'll at least try anything but country.

Food - Thai, Mexican, Italian, junk food (pizza, burger, fries, chicken wings), green/white tea (I know it is more a drink than a food), sushi. I've also been eating healthier lately but I don't know if I'd consider that a favorite, heh.

I also like video games and would love to meet people who like them as well so I'm going to list some of my favorites of those as well!
Video Games - Pretty much any Zelda game ever made, Harvest Moon, Secret of Mana, Pokemon, Dark Souls, Demon Souls, Dragon's Dogma, Borderlands, GTA4, Castle Crashers, Infamous, Super Smash Brothers, Dark Cloud 1&2, Phantasy Star Online, Saints Row 3, Oblivion, Breath of Fire 1&3, ATITD, and World of Warcraft (haven't played in ages but I used to really love the game a few years back).
As you can tell from the list I'm not your standard "first person shooter gamer" that likes to whittle away the hours getting head shots and screaming cheater at the TV. :P
Instead I prefer to use my hobby to either play an awesome game with awesome people or else immerse myself into a fantasy world like the kind that I love reading about in books.

I think the point of the question is to find out what are the 6 things that you most value/enjoy in your life instead of what 6 things you need to survive.
So while I could cop out and go with an easy answer like: Family, Friends, Technology, Music, Comedy, and Video Games.
I decided to put a bit more thought into the question and come up with a truly unique answer. Sorry if it is a little long winded!
1.) the feeling of awesomeness, accomplishment, and strength when I manage to fix something (mostly programming related but not necessarily so).
2.) good friends and family that stands by your side even if/when you don't deserve it.
3.) the right song played at just the right time.
4.) good experiences that turn into great memories when shared with a friend.
5.) The simple things in life like the way the cool dew filled mountain air feels on your skin in the early am, how freshly laundered clean sheets feel on your skin right before bed, how a girl's REAL laugh can be incredibly sexy (especially so if I'm the one that caused her to laugh, lol.), and how a girl can look at you and cause you to just get lost in her eyes.
6.) A sweetheart to call my own that knows just how to cuddle up next to me to make me feel like a million bucks and feel like anything is possible. Who also has an amazing smile that can light up a room, fill my soul with meaning, and make anything that has me down not feel like it is all that bad after all. And to top it off she would have to know how to be genuine and be able to laugh at life.

...Though to be fair I'm currently lacking 6 in my life!

Lately, I've been thinking about why most girls I've messaged on here seem to never ask questions back. It is kind of boring to keep asking someone questions, get answers, think of follow up questions or entirely different questions, and the whole time never have them want to know ANYTHING about me. Of course, there is also the possibility that I'm just doing the whole online internet dating thing wrong to begin with? Naaaah! :P

Also, if and where I should move. Amarillo is alright but sometimes I wonder if it is the best fit for me. However once I do I'm sure I'll miss my family and friends. Also, I'm not sure if I'd find what I'm looking for just by moving to a new town but I figure since I've only lived here in A-town that I owe it to myself to at least try some place new once. All that being said with just the motivations I have right now in my life I'm probably not looking to move for at least a year and a half.

-having a blast by playing some video games, hanging with friends doing any of the below or something new!

-trying to figure out something to do outside the house. Here lately if I'm not at home you can usually find me outside walking around the park.

-on rare occasions I might go watch a movie (though I hate that the theater is packed on Friday nights so I'm more likely to go early on a Saturday or wait for it to come out on video), drive around and sing to random stuff that comes across the radio all the while having no plan on the exact destination, go have dinner with some friends and maybe head over to hastings to kill some time, etc.

-relaxing by watching something on netflix, just hanging out on the computer, or kicking my feet up and finishing the current book I might be reading.

I really like colorful/colored dyed hairs on chicks and if I had a job where I was able to I'd LOVE to have blue spikey hair like some of my favorite characters off of animes/video games!
