My Self-Summary

My Best friend Matt just asked me to become the God Father of his beautiful and adorable Daughter, Tara. It fills me with joy to hold her in my arms. I now know how wonderful it must be to have a child of your own.

More About me..
I believe one hundred percent in fidelity. I think that if you are lucky enough to be in love and have some one love you back then you should honor and respect that. I hear that old question "For Love or Money" all the time. I always said that I'd rather spend an eternity destitute as long as it was with some one that cherishes myself as much as I cherish her.
If you're blessed enough to be with some one then you should repay them with total commitment and faithfulness.
I consider myself to be an old school gentleman in the way of opening doors for women and such. I'm very out going but I tend to be a little bit reserved or shy you could say with women at first. I'm really looking for a loving long term relationship with some one and I don't play games so I expect others not to as well. I think that I'm very witty and I have a great sense of humor. You'll almost always see me laughing about something or other. Also I'm fluent in German and can speak passable Spanish,Irish,Russian and can read Latin pretty well.(I just love Languages and travel)
I heard a great quote the other day. "I want to go home so badly ... but I haven't found it yet". upon further reflection I believe home is where ever "she" is. She being the woman whom I cherish, adore, and love every single day.
Are you out there?
What I’m doing with my life
My focus is on Child Development. I really adore children and hope to have some of my own some day. What I really want to do in the future is to have my own practice providing psychological care and counseling for children and teenagers. They are our most valuable resource and sadly some children have gone through some rough things and I wan't more than anything to be able to reach them and to help them mature into well adjusted adults. I believe that would be one of the most satisfying jobs a person could have. Helping Children.
I’m really good at
I'm extremely good at fixing/repairing things. Especially Computers. I was a Computer Tech for a local Repair place for a long while. I'm also A+ Certified and have a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification.
I'm also decent car mechanic. I just love building things I guess. Taking something that doesn't work and bringing it to life.
lets see what else.. I'm not sure if Video games count but I'm pretty decent at FPS and RTS games. I'm also very, very good at Trivia. I swear if I could ever get on Who wants to be a Millionaire I'd leave with a fat check lol.
I'm really passionate about Politics, Civil Rights, and Equality and consider myself to be an excellent public speaker.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
For Movies I'd have to say that some of my favorites would be Michael Collins, Trainspotting, Lord of War, Braveheart, Red Dawn, Requiem for a Dream, Platoon, The General, Bonnie & Clyde, Enemy at the Gates, The Stand,Twilight (Yes Twilight. I happen to like Vampire movies), Dawn of the Dead (both the original and remake. I just love Zombies),Glory, Startrek, and Saving Private Ryan. That is no where near the entire list of my favorite movies because that list would take forever. They are just the ones that came off the top of my head.
As for books I'd have to say The Gulag Archipelago, A Day in the life of Ivan Denisovitch, Bill Clinton's My Life, Ice Fire,Twilight books, The Indifferent Stars Above, Stephen King's The Gunslinger series, The Lord of the Rings series and the other related books Tolkien did, Science Fiction in general. I also have a large collection of reference texts and manuals regarding my study of Psychology, and Military stuff. I'm an avid Military History buff.
When it comes to Music I'd say Black Sabbath is my definite favorite but I also like Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Disturbed, Nickelback, Seether, Saliva, Rage Against The Machine, Tool, Shinedown, The Pogues, A Perfect Circle, FlyLeaf, Smile Empty Soul, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, The Animals, The Beach Boys ( Lol, yeah even a few songs of theirs), Credence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynynrd, and Tool. These are by no means all my favorites just a good cross sampling of them.
I've actually been to quite a few concerts such as Seether, Trapt, Saliva, Three Doors Down, Linkin Park, Hoobastank, P.O.D., Shinedown, Finger Eleven, Breaking Benjamin, and Theory of a Deadman too.
The six things I could never do without
I guess my Mp3 Player would be 2nd since I love to listen to music especially when I'm on the go.(Caution : I sing along to them in the car) Makes time fly.
My Car definitely has to come up on here. Its not the newest or the best looking (yet) but I've poured many an hour of blood, sweat, and tears into rebuilding it and tricking it out so I am very proud of her.
Love is something I could never do with out. As hokey as that sounds. I believe that with out somebody that loves you and for you to love back life is a cold desolate and lonely place.
My website. Its a labor of love. I've been working on it for the last 8 years to promote awareness about the struggle for Irish Independence and freedom.
My beloved cat Mack. He has been with me for 7 years now through thick and thin. I actually didn't pick him out. He followed me home one day as a kitten so I decided to take him in. I've never regretted it. Even if he is a 18lb fatboy that looks like Garfield's twin brother. He is never more than 3ft away and follows me everywhere I go. He is my constant companion and I love him.
Oh and I've got to add my new PSP I absolutely love it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I am very active in politics. I was campaigning for Senator Obama now President wooohooo!
along with volunteering for the A.C.L.U. (American Civil Liberties Union).
I spend a lot of time thinking about the people that don't have health insurance and how they have to suffer in sickness and in pain and how I might be able to help them.
On a typical Friday night I am
I enjoy going down town at night when its all lit up. Especially during Fall when the air is clean and brisk.
Most especially I love it right before its about to storm and the air gets all electric. I love to be out and about outside to enjoy it.
Some times I like just to cruise around in my car enjoying the sights and sounds of the city, but what I'd like to do most is to find some one special to spend time with together. It wouldn't matter what we would do or go just as long as I was together with some one I loved.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I did that spur of the moment with no reason behind it other than to make my girlfriend at the time happy.
