What I’m doing with my life

I'm pursuing a master's degree in English literature. I have a GTA position teaching English 101. It is the most challenging thing I've ever attempted, but once I get more experience, I hope it will be the most rewarding.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm so reserved and quiet that I'm not sure that I'm particularly noticable at first. Lol. That's okay though, because I think people like me once they get to know me. I hope as people get to know me they realize I'm an excellent listner, and a compassionate friend. I love to make people laugh, but I have to be extremely comfortable to let someone see that part of me.

The six things I could never do without

My family, sleep, caffeine, faith, books, and laughter.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future. One of my goals is to enjoy the present more, but I've fixated on what life would bring me since I was a little girl. I daydream a lot. Maybe it's a form of escapism, but I always fantasize about who I may turn out to be, and who will be sharing the journey with me.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either curling up at home with a good book, or movie if it has been a particularly difficult week, or having dinner and lovely conversation with a few close friends. I enjoy parties on occaision, but I'm introverted, so it isn't really my scene. I also like to sit in a coffee shop and catch up with an acquaintice, or read or write if I'm alone.
