Like so many before me, I hate filling these out, but here
I am a self confessed geek. I like to find out what makes the world
spin. I'm a bit shy. I once met the Queen. I like to make music,
rather than listen to it. I have a tattoo. I'm not an animal
person. I like anime, and am not ashamed to admit it. It takes a
while to get to know me, but once you do I'm fiercely loyal. I have
a dark, sarcastic sense of humour. I make fantastic cakes. I'm not
a people person. I'd like to travel to Japan. I am terrible at
Halo. I try to exercise regularly, but sofas are too comfy. I am
the "nice guy", but don't always want to be. I care about grammar
and spelling. I think you should always be yourself.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend my days slaving away over a hot keyboard writing code to
earn enough money to buy more gadgets to play with. When I'm not
tinkering with electronics I like to play games or watch tv with
I’m really good at
taking apart things to see how they work, and not having too many
pieces left over when I put it back together again. That or losing
an entire afternoon to a good book.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea - let me know?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Far too many books to list, but my favourite authors include David
Eddings, Eoin Colfer, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Pratchett, Garth Nix,
Jasper Fforde, Tom Holt...
I've never been a huge movie fan - I tend to prefer TV shows. I
like sci-fi, comedy, and almost anything by Pixar, but not a scary
movie fan. TV wise I follow Bones, House (anything with a
mystery!), Q.I., South Park, Futurama.. I'm also an anime fan,
keeping up with One Piece and Fairy Tail religiously.
Music wise I have very eclectic tastes - no particular genre or
artist, just whether or not it clicks! As I play guitar, I like
stuff I can strum along with, or anything that you can sing along
to in the shower ;)
For food I can be fussy - but nothing beats a home cooked roast
dinner with all the trimmings, with sticky toffee pudding and
custard for desert!
The six things I could never do without
A cup of tea
Books (as many as possible!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
really random things - like who would win in a case-solving battle
between Commander Vimes and Sherlock Holmes (Vimes, obviously), the
first thing I would do if I got super powers (figure out my one
weakness, and protect against it), and what I could make if I took
apart that old PC and combined it with a treadmill (apparently a
On a typical Friday night I am
most likely at home, either watching some TV, relaxing with a good
book, or chilling with some good friends to discuss how crazy the
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I stole the cookie from the cookie jar.
