My self-summary
Steadily, but slowly, figuring out what life is about while enjoying the journey. Just staying on that daily grind, while trying to remain in the flow.

Enjoying traveling and I've done so a few times in the past. Through travel, I've rock climbed and surfed in some interesting locations.

I practice yoga and meditation on the regular.

Also, I'm only tanned during summery conditions. No fake tans hurrr!
What I’m doing with my life
What am I not doing with my life?

But, seriously, I'm a mathematician / high school teacher / tutor / lifelong learner / all around OG. Trying to get out of the education world but it just keeps a death grip on me. I'm back in uni part-time, doing some math with an outlook towards actuarial sciences... But really, let's just open a climbing gym, teach people to climb and watch them having fun learning! I'm pretty stoked on that last part.
I’m really good at
Fake freestyling: so far, my best lyrics on a phat beat have been "My name is Jo and I've got a get fresh flow, Sometimes I rhyme quick, Sometimes I rhyme slow". I'd like to rhyme Johan and Autobahn at some point. That would be cool.

I'm sick at quadratic equations. Check yo' roots son! BAM! Totally showed him who's the imaginary boss.

I'm neutral at yoga as it teaches us to not push ourselves past our edge. But I think that my edge is ever so slowly increasing in distance from where it first was. But that's soooo Western ideology; always needing to push and get better. What's better than the best? Better. What?
The first things people usually notice about me
Other than gender and my brown hair, probably my green eyes, my nose and my coy smile. I've also been told that I look "properly put together", which I think means I dress smart.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a strange bird when it comes to books. I don't read often but I enjoy the idea of reading. Some of my favorite authors are Herman Hess, Douglas Adams, Men's Journal, Henri Charrière (Papillon, not Banco. Banco was awful). The Tao of Pooh is a fun read. I really enjoy reading about architecture (Peter Zumthor's Thinking Architecture is pretty cool) and architecture magazines (the pictures are so much fun).

I like all kinds of movies. Cheap Tuesdays are perfect days for movie watching! Some that I have enjoyed more than others are True Grit, Tron, The Big Lebowski... I enjoy Jeff Bridges as an actor in general. Cronenberg has some interesting stuff like Eastern Promises and A History of Violence.

I tend to avoid TV, however I'm très guilty of enjoying New Girl and the NBC Thursday lineup. Another guilty pleasure is Workaholics.

I'll listen to a lot of different kinds of music which means I know very little about the music that I listen to. I've been on a Jazz and classical binge recently, but I'll listen mostly to rap, ambient, trap, dubstep and indie / folk.

Food is interesting because it both divides and unites people so easily. In general, I will eat anything. As such, I believe I would make a great negotiator / mediator since I would probably understand each side of the table quite well (vegans, vegetarians, kosher, halal, etc...). Recently, I've been experimenting with a paleo diet out of curiosity. It's the scientific inclination that runs through me.
The six things I could never do without
Other than the obvious food, air, water, atmosphere, etc combo...
1. A sharp mind
2. Some form of educational tools: books, telescope or something similar
3. Creative people (architects, doctors, mathematicians, singers, painters, etc.)
4. A tree with a solid branch to do pull ups on. It will also provide shade and a nice sitting spot.
5. A toothbrush+floss for proper oral care
6. Interesting and tasty foods
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Interactions between people and groups of people fascinate me. I like to participate, but I also enjoy seeing how group dynamics evolve. I'm basically saying I like people watching.

I also enjoy conjuring up ideas to better our living experience; I mean, c'mon, who wouldn't want to optimize their time / cost ratio to a given destination!

I think about climbing a lot as well. I'm quite passionate about the sport and the scene. I would like to somehow breach out into a career involving climbing.

How do some girls manage to wear short skirts / dresses and high heels, in the middle of winter to go to the clubs? How do they do it...
On a typical Friday night I am
Climbing, trying to do handstands, practicing yoga, Hanging with Mr Cooper, having drinks with friends, growing an incomplete beard, sitting...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have trouble with filters and as such would probably admit to anything on my mind. Ugh, this should not have been admitted eh?
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–30
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
If you're social but have homebody tendencies. Being interested in rock climbing, yoga, swimming or any other participatory activity that you're wanting to try would suggest a good reason to message me. If you're into meditation and practice regularly, I would like to hear what your take on it is as I've recently taken up a regular practice as well. I've also enjoyed talking about design, architecture and fashion with people that are so inclined.
