My self-summary
Self-characterization can be dangerous from both sides, but here goes anyway. I am an old-fashioned liberal with all of the willingness to tolerate almost anything.

I am kind, intelligent, thoughtful, clever, sarcastic, and so on.

As a warning, I am the sort of person who might start chuckling at a bit in a book that I read several years ago, when that item seems especially appropriate. (This came to mind when I started chuckling about a piece in "Foucault's Pendulum a few minutes ago.
What I’m doing with my life
Is it my life? It doesn't really belong to me, but that is the common phrase. Mostly I am writing lewd poetry and looking for a Circassian woman who is available.
I’m really good at
Nothing, and now I have decent evidence for that. I used to think that I was pretty good at a variety of things, but that seems not to be the case.

I just realized that this comment above is good evidence that I am good at self-deprecation, and that demonstrates that the statement is false, and that implies that there may be other things that I am actually good at. I wonder what.
The first things people usually notice about me
I recently learned that many people notice my mustache before anything else, but I don't know whether that was the first thing that they noticed, or if it is the first thing that they wanted to mention. I am curious as to which.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have read many books, and I enjoyed most of them. The Ship that Sailed the Time Stream by G.C. Edmondson was the best novel of the 20th century.

I an not generally into movies, because they are too simple, but there have been a few exceptions.

I am not a music fan per se, but I love good lyric poetry and some harmonic music. I don't not like raucous noise. I am listening to "Surrealist Pillow" by the Jefferson Airplane, and it is excellent. And Joni Mitchell wrote and delivered some of the best poetry in the English language. Through Joni I discovered Laura Allan; she was a better poetess than Joni, and I love her poetry very much; I wish that I could tell her that, but she died in 2008. Consider the sadness of her song "Looking for the Right One".

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I regularly think about the fact that all actions in the universe are determined. The laws of physics and logic require that there be causes for effects, and the chain of cause and effect stretches back to the Big Bang (and before), and we can't notice the fact that our decisions were determined more than 13 billion years ago.

But I recently learned that there is solid evidence that the Many Worlds Interpretation is correct, and the universe may not determined, but it bifurcates when necessary. This knowledge was rather liberating to me. Then I learned that there may be determinism through all of the branches of the Multiverse. It doesn't make any difference whether there is determinism, because all possible (or reasonably probable) events will happen in one universe or another.
On a typical Friday night I am
Treating the time the same as I would any other day. I am egalitarian about time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
What is private?
Don't they say that privacy ended with Facebook?
I can't think of anything that I have as especially private. If you have any specific question along thse lines, then ask.

  • Ages 25–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you are inspired to do so.
Or if you are a Circassian woman who is not attached.
Or if you feel like you would like to.
Or if you just wonder.

And we could discuss those possibilities and bring some into actuality.
