My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially on the beautiful spring and fall days we have around here. I particularly love when the leaves are first coming out in the spring, and when they are just starting to change color.

I was in 4H my whole life and I try my hardest to live by their motto: "to make the best better." Nothing is ever perfect, but it can usually be improved, and I'm out to do that. When I put my mind to something, I work hard at it until it's done.

Once I'm comfortable in a situation I become very gregarious. I love to laugh and to make others laugh. I'm often called silly or weird, but if it made you crack a smile, I'm happy.

Other things that make me happy include sunny days, quality time with my friends, an especially good Wait Wait Don't Tell Me Episode...and puppies. I love puppies. And older dogs. I don't discriminate.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work political campaigns, in field. I was a field organizer for President Obama, and I've also worked on the Terry McAuliffe campaign (Governor of Virginia) and a state senate race in Virginia. I am now working a coordinated campaign in central New York, focusing on a congressional race.

It's an exciting way to live and an incredible way to know the work I'm doing will truly have an impact.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Plant Identification
Quoting Star Wars
Making people laugh

I'm also pretty good at cooking (I'm not the best but I like it and I try new recipes pretty often).
The first things people usually notice about me

I think my height, since I am so short. Maybe my laugh, or my voice, they're both pretty distinct (or so I've been told).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love several books by Jane Austen, "Of Mice and Men", and the Harry Potter series (Fred, George, and Snape are my favorite characters). Two of my favorite books from when I was younger are "A Wrinkle In Time" and "The Giver".

Favorite movies of all time: The original Star Wars trilogy. It's quite quotable. Try me.

I also really like Ocean's 11, and some older movies too, like The African Queen. Not sure if it counts as a movie but I love Dr. Horrible. My guilty pleasure movie is Sweet Home Alabama.

LOST was amazing. Firefly could have been so incredible if it were given the chance. The current shows I watch include Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn 99, and Castle. I catch Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers when I can. I'm working on catching up on It's Always Sunny, and Parks and Rec. Of course, I think Seinfeld eps are pretty classic.

My first car was named Logan, for Wolverine in X-Men. He was a big, strong car out to protect me. My current car is named Neil Linus. Neil for Neil Patrick Harris and Linus for Ben Linus of LOST. Neil Linus because he is cool, above the fray, and cute but able to jump in when needed. (He's a Rav4.) (Yes, I just referred to my car as a he.)

I tend to really like Italian, Greek/Mediterranean, and Indian. And who doesn't love pizza and ice cream? I also love quesadillas.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I really want to be a wise-ass and list air, water, nutrients, vitamins, sleep, and warmth.

But okay, I'll go past "basic survival" to things I really would hate to not have.

1. My friends, and my family.
2. The ways I connect to my friends. Meaning communication channels, such as the my computer, the internet (gchat/facebook/etc) and my cell phone.
3. Photographs.
4. My glasses. Without them, I couldn't see the world.
5. The ability to read/understand. The world would be such a boring place if you couldn't read/understand/experience new ideas and thoughts.
6. Running water/electricity/other technology that we tend to take for granted, but that many go without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Politics/policy. Even though our country has a pretty messed up system, it's still way better than not having a democracy at all.

Lots of other things too--ask me. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. Or, hanging out at home, catching up on Thursday night's tv online, or else spending casual time with my friends/family.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate status symbols...but I love my mac.

anything about me seems interesting to you, or you think we would get along. I'm pretty shy and have a hard time being the first one to write a message...so be brave for both of us. :)
