I am happy, funny, and curious.

My Self-Summary

I'm a 21-year-old student living in San Francisco. I love life, have a fascination with the world around me, and get excited by the simplest things.

I prefer my computer to television, though I don't know if that counts considering how many movies I watch online.

I was a vegetarian for seven years, but last week became a pescetarian because when I went to a restaurant and asked for no meat, they served me fish and I just kind of went with it. Recently, I stepped even farther from vegetarianism and added poultry and a carefree attitude about food to my diet. Every vegetarian I've ever met was an ex-vegetarian, so I guess I should have seen this coming.

I love dogs. I have two of my own, but they live with my parents (because they technically do belong to them), so I rarely get dog time. Getting to play with a dog can seriously make my day. They have the ability to remove all stress and unhappiness, and I get really excited when I see them walk by. I can't really explain it. Dogs are just amazing.

FYI: I don't get on this site to often, so my responses are often slow in coming. This has caused me to miss out on a few great guys, so I'm trying to fix this.

What I’m doing with my life

I am a student studying Cinema, though I haven't seen nearly enough movies to be accepted as a legitimate Cinema Major, and spend most of my time hanging out with friends.

I have lovely plans for after I graduate college which I'm trying to get a head-start on now. I want to teach English abroad for my first year out so I can see more of the world. I'm going to follow my best friend to teach at a university in China that offers an amazing vacation benefits.

I hope by the end of that experience I'll have finished some of my scripts]] (I love to start those things, but finishing them is another story...or, a lack of story), but it seems that everyone has a script to sell these days, and that might not be the job security I'm optimistic enough to believe it is.

In order to cover more bases, I'm attempting to [write
novels. I will take any excuse to write, I guess.

I’m really good at

I'm really good at conversing. I like hearing other people's stories and ideas, which makes me a good listener, and I'm quite happy to fill conversation gaps. I will likely make jokes and obscure observations, but that just means that I'm really engaged.

I'm also good at Rubik's Cubes, in that I know codes that allow me to solve them. It's not skill, it's memory, and I'm still amazed at how many people I can impress with this. They really boost my ego.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have double-D's, so people are bound to first notice those.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My library is strictly full of fictional novels, which I love, but I think I'd like educational books if I gave them a try. I've recently gotten into rereading the books I loved in my pre-teen years. A Time For Andrew was one of my favorites, and a second look showed me that it is still a great story. I underestimated the merit of a twelve-year-old's book by the time I reached high school, but being able to get through a whole story, with a pretty engaging plot, in an afternoon has major benefits. I recommend Chrisopher Pike to anyone who wants to give this a go. When I want to feel more like an adult, I read novels based on Pride and Prejudice. That is my favorite book, and while reading a Jane Austen fan's book is kind of like reading fanfiction (a less disclosed passion of mine), I still find it a step towards adult.

I love action and Sci-Fi movies so much I want to go into the industry and make them.

While my music taste is pretty varied, from Dean Martin to Linkin' Park to Justin Timberlake, I live for seventies rock. Give me anything from Kansas, Bad Company, Queen, Journey, Chicago, Boston, Thin Lizzy, etc. and I'm happy. Free Bird!

My favorite food is sushi. I smear wasabe on it, dip it in soy sauce, and pop the roll in. It's amazing: art as flavor. I love all foods Asian, and Italian trails closely, but I'm not very picky when it comes to food, so I'll try most anything.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My future has really been on my mind lately. I graduate college soon and the real world seems like a big and scary place. I'm sure all of those in my shoes go through this.

I also spend a lot of time in my own head thinking up story ideas. I can plan whole movies in the time it takes me to fall asleep. This is wonderful in that I am never bored, though it does mean that I zone out through entire class lectures.

On a typical Friday night I am

I spend my weekends out in the city with my best friends taking in shows and drinking just enough to make everything REALLY fun.

I'm on a mission to find new bars, restaurants, sights, and just fun places to be every week. I live in one of the most amazing cities in the world, and I want to take full advantage of it while I can.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I do dishes topless. Water goes everywhere when I wash them, and I don't want to soak up or ruin a perfectly good shirt, so I just take it off before I go. This only really works if you don't have roommates.

I'm a virgin, so if you are only interested in sex, I'm not the girl for you.

You should message me if

You should message me if you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. I'm sure I'm the first to do that. ;-)

Honestly, I'm pretty shy, so I won't likely message you. I know, lame. If I save you, it's my sly way of trying to convince you to message me. No pressure.

If you're interested in someone who is laid-back and fun-loving, and doesn't even know how to "play the game," send a "hello."
