I just moved here from Wisconsin. Ready to start the next big adventure and chapter in my life. Ask me about the Route 66 road trip I took to get here. It didn't go according to plan.
Give me a brass band and a beer, and you have my full attention.
I am a UX Designer, saxophone player, volunteer, and a pretty decent cook. Music is an important part of my life. So is volunteer work and the constant pursuit of knowledge.
I believe in human rights, helping others, compassion, culture and the arts. I believe in equality for all no matter what.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for a web software company. I love what I do. I know, heard it all before, but when you've never woke up and said, "I don't want to go to work." I'd say you are doing alright for yourself.
I’m really good at
Being me? I don't really think about it.
The first things people usually notice about me
Maybe you can tell me when you meet me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Anything brass band. Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, jazz in general, Reel Big Fish, Motion City Soundtrack, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Dashboard Confessional, Lucky Boys Confusion, George Clinton, Earth Wind and Fire, Motown, oldies. Music is a gateway to culture and understanding. Treat it with the utmost respect.
Movies: Citizen Kane, North by Northwest, French films (I just started taking French, but I've seen The Dinner Game, He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, La Cage aux Folles, Amelie) Lost in Translation, Run Lola Run, Super Troopers, Clerks and Dogma, Rent, Musicals.
Movies are like music to me. I have a ton of them. I would love to go into directing some day because my mind works in movie scenes - complete with soundtrack and everything.
The six things I could never do without
My computer, my friends, my family, my music/movies, good
conversation, and not in that order necessarily.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why people are the way they are. How I fit in the universe, and why
people need to make things more complicated than need be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday is always up in the air.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once hiccuped bubbles like on the cartoons... Long story.
You should message me if
You can get me in to E3. You have a TARDIS, and want to take me anywhere in time and space. Or a Firefly. That would work too.
