I'm Georgia-born but a California-boy at heart. I am creative, upfront, hard-working, loyal, imaginative, and spontaneous. I am an active person, enjoy anything new and exciting, and am more than willing to try new things. I'm a very good listener and relish deep conversations. I generally think of myself as a fun person, and try to show those around me a good time. I love to make people laugh. I enjoy life and find that there is always something amusing, and at the same time, poignant to gain from any experience. I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and I am interested in hearing yours. I know what I want in life, and I'm willing to put in the work it takes to get it.

I spend a lot of time creating, whether it's writing, drawing, making jewelry or cgi artwork. I feel that there are so many things that I want to create that I'll never have the time to bring all those ideas into the world. But that never stops me from trying.

I'm also a firm believer that learning is a constantly evolving process, and that the more you learn, the more you have to offer to the world. So I'm always in the process of learning something new, and finding new ways to expand my mind and heighten my perspective.

I love 80's music, cheesy movies, planning for the inevitable zombie/robot take-over, reading anything I can get my hands on, pondering how anyone EVER came up with the idea for chain-mail (seriously, its the most eye-crossing, hand-cramping activity in history), debating philosophical or religious ideas, and think that there are few things in life more alluring than intelligent and artistic women. :)

I work as a subcontractor for county utilities. When I'm not at work I've either got a pencil, paint brush, some sort of precision tool, or a book in my hand. I'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on my artistic portfolio, and networking as much as possible to get my work out in the world. All of that creative energy is being spent moving me ever closer to opening my own design company.

Making chain-mail jewelry, creating digital art, technical drawing, seeing from multiple perspectives, remaining objective, soaking up information like a sponge, seeing to the heart of complex issues, teaching others, listening, supporting others, speed-reading, bridging cultural, religious, and ideological gaps, and memorizing movie quotes and random song/band info. Three o'clock in the morning and some 80's song won't stop running through your head until you figured out who sang it? I'm your man! (I'm telling you, it was Quiet Riot!)

I've been told my eyes catch people's attention; Big, dark brown almost black eyes that sometimes have gold streaks in them depending on the light. I've often been told that I am 'an old-soul' after talking with someone for any length of time.

Books: Can't pick a favorite, but here's a few that blew my hair back... Anything by Kerouac, Bradbury, Lovecraft, T.S. Elliot, Thoreau, Henry Miller, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. Music:
I'm addicted to music, and I mean seriously addicted. I have to have music, of all styles, in my life. Rock, country (though very little), jazz, blues, rap, techno, industrial, pop, punk (I love some good old school punk), world, and basically anything with a beat. Give me a melody or at the very least a message.

As for my favorites? That's a really long list. Since my musical tastes are so varied, I tend to have mix cds in my stereo that befuddle your average listener. Music enhances my life and my imagination, so I like to have a little of everything on hand. But 80's music rocks my world. Here's a few to get you started:

These days I spend my Fridays hanging out with an amazing gal, and getting into all manner of trouble. Either hanging out with friends, going to karaoke, camping, playing cards, or just hanging out at home watching a movie, reading a good book, or working on any number of artistic projects. Mostly following my Muse wherever it leads... Care to join?

I can do a mean cabbage-patch, love doing weird/random accents, and clowns don't scare me. :)
