Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
After more than a few extended periods overseas, I've grown to
appreciate the ordinary: the changing seasons, good friends and
family, and eating food I know has been properly
My family is important and in many ways I have traits from both
parents. My father is seventy now but keeps in excellent shape so
he continues kayaking along lake Champlain until the water freezes
over. My mother is a professor in art history and lives in Italy
each summer and began teaching me French when I was seven. Like
then, being fit is incredibly important to me as is understanding
and exploring other cultures and languages.
As for me, I moved down Here from up North some years ago and
studied in Montréal. I bought an apartment last year as commitment
to staying in the area and enjoy activities such as beach
volleyball by Lincoln memorial, half marathons and a steamy bowl of
pho on a cold day.
I'm looking for someone who is in shape and enjoys learning about
the world beyond the U.S. I speak French and Russian, and enjoy
learning about other languages and culture.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been working in international public health for several years,
mainly in the countries of western and southern Africa. In short,
my job is to make sure that the money we donate to fight HIV AIDS
and other infectious diseases goes to the people who need it, not
to the corrupt officials who always seem to get in the way.
BTW, I think it's hilarious OKC rates me as 'less adventurous'
considering my job and interests. Would be fun to look at the
algorithm they use.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Speaking foreign languages, losing sunglasses (and apparently
breaking my sunglasses too).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I like Murakami books and recently have been reading motivational
books like 'the Power of Now' and 'Born to Run' etc. My favorite
movie is 2046 by Wong Kar Wai. For music I listen to some trance
but am open to everything (even country in moderation) except maybe
death metal. I also like some old school hip-hop like Tribe Called
Quest, and brit pop like Keane.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Anything beyond the essentials is a bonus ;)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
traveling to different locations, next race I'll run and why many
people vote against their own interests.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Recently I've been going to the gym and catching up with friends on
the phone. Saturday is the night I'll usually party-it-up.
