Salut,

Work in international development. Grew up in the far North (including a French speaking area) and then recently spent a year in Moscow for a fellowship then some time in Africa for work. I've made enough cultural faux pas in different cultures to be quite self aware and as a result am a good listener and observer.

I Enjoy running (have run several marathons) photography, wine with good friends, travel and my fave food is Vietnamese. I Love learning new things, trying to improve myself physically and mentally and sharing life experiences. Now that I'm more permanently here I look forward to meeting others who have a curiosity about the greater world and can laugh at themselves.

Work in international economic development and seeking to always learn. Want to also become certified as an athletic trainer on the side and learn to cook better. Take occasional trips to work in West Africa.

Update alert: Was recently back from Sierra Leone and Guinea end of March and now am back in Africa in mid-April and out again until late May. Should be back in D.C. for a while once I'm back.

I'm easily amused.

I like Murakami books and recently have been reading motivational books like 'the Power of Now' and 'Born to Run' etc. My favorite movie is 2046 by Wong Kar Wai. For music I listen to some trance but am open to everything (even country in moderation) except maybe death metal. I also like some old school hip-hop like Tribe Called Quest, and brit pop like Keane.

Varies depending on how tired I am after the work week. Recently I've been going to the gym and catching up with friends but I have also attended art shows, gone dancing, celebrated birthdays etc. Sometimes I'll just let out a big sigh and chill. Saturday is the night I'll usually party-it-up more than Friday :).
