Originally from Virginia Beach, but went to school for physics over at Radford, then somehow found myself working odd jobs up in Alaska and over in the Solomon Islands before going to New York for more school in more physics. I got a job offer back down here in Hampton working as a Medical Physicist, which is way more fun than it sounds. And conveniently, I think it's pretty fun. It's a lot of figuring random stuff out.
So I think that pretty much applies to everything; I just like to try to figure stuff out. If it's broke, I'll try to fix it. Or at least break it until I'm *sure* it can't be fixed. Either or. I just try and make sure more things fall into that first category than the second. So one day, you might find me under a car thinking that I know how to replace an exhaust (Successful!) or sitting at a desk trying to solder a Playstation back together (Less successful.)
A million years ago back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, a friend of mine brought over a guitar and once again the same principle applied. I wanted to figure out everything about how it it works and how to play music, which is a fairly significant part of my life. I hate that cliche'd "I like all music", but I'm going to go ahead and say it. I like all music. But I really love playing it. Hardly a day goes by where I won't get at least an hour of guitar or piano in.
One last sidenote; one of those pictures up there is a picture of when I used to be a fire performer down on the Oceanfront. Seriously, I saw it on Youtube and thought 'Pfft, I could do that!'. Turns out, I could! I have a *lot* of weird hobbies from just wanting to learn to do things.
