My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like pina coladas.

And getting caught in the rain.

I am not in to yoga.

And I have half a brain.

I like making love at midnight, in the dunes, in a cape...

(I know it's not how the song goes, but I was thinking the whole cape thing would probably look pretty cool if it were windy, right? ...And, besides it's my profile, so you kinda have to bear with me and my Rupert Holmes "Pina Colada song" reference)

... I'm the love that you've looked for, write to me and escape.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been a successful creative director in advertising for many fun filled years.

Recently, I've opened up my own creative shop in sunny Oakland with the intention of being a part of the exciting rebirth of this great and often overshadowed city.

Co-parenting my two boys with my ex, whom I get on with greatly.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being comfortable in my own skin.

Making people around me feel relaxed and comfortable in theirs.

Causing you to laugh at moments when you probably shouldn't be.

Looking at things from multiple perspectives.

My job.

This great trick I can consistently do with a baseball cap.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to smile a lot.

I also tend not to take myself too seriously, and I'm drawn to people, places and things that do the same.

A serious conversation can be an amazing thing, but if I were going to drop dead at a given moment, I'd much rather have it happen during a good solid laugh than a heavy conversation about global warming.

Laughing is really fun. Fun wins.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books. Love non fiction and history. Currently reading David Bowies biography, which is riveting. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've been dyslexic for my entire life, so reading, as much as I enjoy it, has always been a bit of an arduous process, but I love the rewards.

Movies. Documentaries up the wazoo. Coen brothers anything, Wes Anderson some, any epic period peice. American Beauty, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, To Kill a Mockingbird,

Shows. Currently: Narcos. Fallon. SNL, John Oliver, Broad City, Nathan and Me, Walking Dead.

I love live music. I grew up a going to punk and rock shows in NYC throughout the 80's and 90's (such great times), but my love and appreciation for music is broad and my collection is cumbersome and to list artists would bore you... All types though, from rock to electronica to old 70's reggae and R&B, rocksteady to drum and bass to country to pop. It's all good (Well, almost all. ha). Taking in live music and supporting people who play it has always been super important to me.

I've collected and played ukuleles for about 15 years now. It makes me (and sometimes others) super happy. It's like wooden prozac.
Always fun singing obscure covers with friends after a couple glasses of wine. I love when the people you least expect cut loose.

Food is so good right?!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Positivity.
2. Quality bedding.
3. My iPhone
4. Kindness.
5. music.
6. my boys.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All sorts of things.... It never ends. They just bounce around in there. Ping ping ping!! Can you please help me make it stop?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either with my boys explaining to them why we can't watch the bulk of the movies they want to watch, or maybe on a fun date with you. Depends on the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm terrified of splinters. That's right, I'm splinterphobic... There, I said it... It's a curse....

- If you like me, don't just "like" and leave! It's like an emotional Ding Dong Ditch. Write a note! Shouldn't just be us guys that have to ponder how bad our opening lines are. Shit ain't easy is it? Ha.

- You'd like to say hello.

- You see any ridiculously glaring typos in this bio.

- You're able to meet someone in a friendly way, where the only expectation is that you're meeting someone new.
