My Self-Summary
I'm a pretty laidback, 'normal' person I guess. Whatever that
means. I'm really interested in politics, both here at home and
internationally. If I had to label my political stance it would be
something of a Zinn/Chomsky Libertarian Socialism I guess. When not
smashing the state, I enjoy finding the fun in the little
intricacies of life. Spontaneous midnight shopping cart races in
the Wal-Mart parking lots of America will always be a favorite. I
like learning. I like animals. I like music. I like playing soccer.
I like watching football. I like blue. I like like. Like whoa.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently away at school for my undergrad degree.
I’m really good at
making myself sound painfully boring. really!
The first things people usually notice about me
My lack of clothes. Just kidding. I guess it depends on the
situation of meetingness. If I'm alone, I'm probably that shy/quiet
girl. If I'm surrounded by various people I love, it's probably
more of a reaction of surprise at my indecent and crass jokes.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Some of my favorite bands include Against Me!, Brand New, The
Gaslight Anthem, The Hold Steady, The Replacements, The Lawrence
Arms, The Mountain Goats, The Weakerthans, Latterman, Passion Pit,
and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists.
I think about the act of reading way more than I actually follow through on it. Unfortunately, being in school means allotting little time to reading of my own choosing. However, some books I have read and am rather fond of include The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut, 1984 by George Orwell, and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
