My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there and thanks for visiting my profile.

I can't promise that we will have lots in common, but if you read on and find out that we do, you should definitely send me a message.

I am interested in meeting someone who is honest and upfront from the start. I will begin now.

Honestly, I cannot believe some of the answers to questions I have seen on the Q&A of women here.
One in particularly strikes me: To the question is it better to be poor or alone women heavily favor solitude over poverty.

This does not strike me as particularly odd. I have known all along that it is men who marry for love. Women marry for security. If you are a woman of this ilk be honest about what you want. State your price. If you are worth it I may rent you for a while. If you are a romantic at heart, like myself, prove it.

I am financially secure having retired from the US Navy and after selling my telecommunications startup to a larger corporation. I am a semi-retired Electriclal Engineer and do a small amount of consulting work for my former business just to busy my mind.

I'd like to think that I am a no baggage guy, but my big weakness is that I do not currently drive, (by my own choice,) having suffered a eye injury and not yet having reached full recovery. Relax! I'm not blind. I just have problems with depth perception that make driving difficult. I have undergone surgery, but I still look like the guy in the photos. They are recent, but my hair has been cut, so the Greecian Formula 14 hasn't covered up all the grey tufts yet 😊. I get around quite well by taxi and public transportation, so I'm not looking for a chauffeur either.

I am, if it does not sound arrogant, somewhat bright, and certainly eclectic in my tastes.

I am now looking for a relationship, but am not jumping into anything without getting to know someone first. I am divorced, but if you are married or separated at the present time, I have no problem with that. You have to leave and try a few new relationships first. Right?

As to what I am looking for in a woman, she is intelligent, first and foremost. If you suspect that, perhaps, you are not, you are probably right. Please give me a miss. I am looking for a specific and special type of person. She is confident, well rounded in her education (either formally or self taught,) and she constantly realizes that she knows less and less, but realizes that she knows less and less about more and more.

She keeps herself physically fit.

I guess I have written enough for now. If you are interested or have any further questions please ask. Don't be shy. If you ask you will be given my phone cell phone number. I am a real-live flesh and blood human being. I am on this site to meet a living, breathing woman, not to exchange interminable text messages and emails through cyberspace.
