My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A little descriptive box: Who am I and why am I here? The great mysteries of life... existentially summed up and tidily tied with a bow for OkCupid readers?

I'm too young to be a widow, but I am. It is what it is -- though I desperately dislike that cliche.

I'm a writer -- for example, I've written everything from song lyrics to murder mysteries as fundraisers. Also, I was on stage in community theatre productions. (C'mon over, I'll show you my reviews...)

If you watch the DVD "Smart People" that they filmed here in Pgh., you'll see me behind Sarah Jessica Parker's shoulder in the airport scene. The Asst. Director even complimented me! I have amazing talent for standing still and looking like I'm waiting for my luggage.

I am lean, mean, peachy-keen, and ...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Planning trips; traveling. I'll go anywhere, any time. I went to Thailand over the holidays by myself once. It was the best thing I've ever done. What a fantastic, fascinating, beautiful trip! A special thank-you to the monk who blessed me. I've ridden an elephant in Thailand in the jungle... and I've also ridden a camel across the sands of the desert in Giza.

I love to travel and see/do new things. There are very few -- if any -- places I can think of that I wouldn't go at the drop of a hat.

Television hasn't been the same since "Buffy" went off the air(but I make do with "TrueBlood"); I worship at the altar of Whedon."Dr. Horrible" anyone?

Books: "Lords of Discipline"
"Outlander" series
"Atlas Shrugged" Many, many more.

~Movies: "Room With a View"
"Shawshank Redemption" "Crying Game" "Valley Girl" "Sex, Lies & Videotape" and "Ordinary People" ...
Again: many, many more. But few where things blow up. Especially heads. Decapitations disturb me.

~70s & 80s pop
~David Cassidy = Sigh. (Don't judge me...) I went to his concert; front row center seats, baby! He held my hand and sang to me!
~Broadway show tunes... because there's always a line or song from a show that applies to life so I can burst into song -- at any (in)appropriate moment.
But I like a little R&B, classical... etc... since I played piano many years.

Let's eat:
~Steamed shrimp -- served on the deck of a pub along the Chesapeake
~Filet mignon and grilled mushrooms
~Hot roast beef sandwiches and gravy w/mashed taters
(Yumm... now I'm hungry)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
~My beloved kitties.
~My big cushy leather sofa.
~Computer with lightning-fast internet service.
~Heated car seats
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
~planning my next exotic vacation

~how I can retire early with great wealth

~how to move to the beach in Costa Rica with my private masseuse
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday nights... I'm often just hanging out. Last week I got a massage. Ahhhhh. [I need minions. When my minions are in place, my minion- captain will be a highly-trained massage professional.]

But I digress.

Fridays? Hanging out. (Not always with a masseuse... or my minions, for that matter.) With friends, at home. Or a movie. Dinner out, maybe. Not so much the bar scene. Every so often is okay, but I don't drink too much ... and it's been a few years -- er, QUITE a few -- since I last danced on a table!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The most private thing I'm willing to admit: I've been known to watch "Dancing With the Stars" upon occasion. And I've even been known to vote. But if you confront me with that in public, I will look you in the eye and vehemently deny it.
