My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm the kind of girl who will get dolled up to go out to dinner and see an opera on a Saturday night, and then pull on a sweatshirt and drink beer and watch football on Sunday.

I refer to myself in third person a lot.

I love to go new places and meet new people.

I'm a classically trained Lyric Soprano, and idolize Jessye Norman, Bryn Terfel, and Cecilia Bartoli.

I sing Mozart and Puccini arias in the shower.

My all time favorite piece of music is the Allegro movement of Serenade for Winds by Mozart.

I'm writing a novel about the social and political upheaval of the late 1960s.

I answer to Bad Decision Dinosaur, of the webcomic Cat and Girl.

I believe Power and Glory by Phil Ochs should be the new national anthem.

If I were even remotely competent in any of the sciences, I would have gone to school for forensic science. I'm fascinated by serial killers and would love to be a forensic psychologist.

I want a career path that would allow me to be a choral director, lobby for gay rights and education reform, sing opera, edit and research history books, write my own books, be a forensic psychologist, and be political scientist, all at the same time.

I've been known to go off on random tangents about the evolution of television, the history of vaudeville, the vital role of the arts in education, and which superhero is the most awesome.

My dream job is to be the person who decides if a particular band or artist is worthy of performing and releasing Beatles covers. If I don't like it, it is never heard by anyone again.

Among my personal heroes are Lucille Ball, George Carlin, Alfred Kinsey, and Dan Savage.

I'm obsessed with football and love figure skating. I'm a fan of the New York Giants and Evan Lysacek.

I like random things like hanging out in used bookstores, karaoke, trivia games, good beer, listening to artists who play and write their own music, writing, singing, reading, playing video games, cuddling, and goofing off with my roommates.

I'm not afraid of impolite conversation.

I'm a bit of a dork. Okay, this is a lie. I'm a huge dork.

I'm left-handed, wear nerd glasses, and I'm that person who sings along with her iPod while walking down the street.

I'm very open about who I am, what I've done, what I'd like to do, and where I'd like to go.

I'm the kind of person who can listen to certain songs on repeat for hours, if not days at a time, and not get bored with it.

I still can't step on cracks in the sidewalk.

I'm a beer connoisseur. Ask me about my current favorites, but I've never met a Belgian style beer I didn't love.

I'm bisexual, and feel it is my life's goal to dispel a few rumors:

- I'm not one of those allegedly bisexual girls who make out with other girls when they get drunk. I've been known to do that, too, but I make out with girls because, you know, I like girls.

- I'm not a whore, and capable of monogamy.

- I'm not fickle in love-I've been very satisfied by both male and female partners.

- I don't have to be with a man and a woman at the same time to be happy.

- I don't sleep with men because I'm in denial, and I don't sleep with women to attract men.

- I know exactly who I am, and I'm not at all confused.

- I'm not gay, I'm not straight, I'm bisexual.

I am verbose, vivacious, and vulgar
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm not exactly where I thought I would be at my age, but if the last five years have taught me anything, it's that everything happens for a reason. I'm working on getting myself back on track. Going back to school this summer- I want to be a choir director.

In the meanwhile, I'm steadily improving my pool game, writing, composing songs on the piano, and teaching myself guitar.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd like to edit the question to, "What I am TOLD I'm really good at" and the list is as follows: singing, writing, bartending, giving massages, making mixed CDs, shooting pool, being a friend, and kissing. I'm an expert snuggler.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure, exactly, because I'm not other people. I would imagine either my glasses, smile, or unusual thought process.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, A Separate Peace, Peace Breaks Out, The Lovely Bones, The Time Traveler's Wife, Life of Pi, Another Country, Giovanni's Room, A Lesson Before Dying, Lysistrata, Harry Potter, and countless others. I'm typically a classics reader.

My favorite authors include F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Knowles, Alice Sebold, Rita Mae Brown, David Sedaris, Michael Thomas Ford, Augusten Burroughs, George Orwell, Victor Hugo, Barack Obama, George Carlin, John Steinbeck, Jane Austen, Voltaire, Charlotte Bronte, John Steinbeck, Henry David Thoreau, and S.E. Hinton.

I also enjoy the poetry of Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Mary Oliver, Elizabeth Barret Browning, Emily Dickensen, Octavio Paz, and T.S. Elliot.

Movies: The Story of Us, When Harry Met Sally, Love Actually, Kinsey, Pan's Labyrinth, La Boheme (the silent film), The Broken Heart's Club, V for Vendetta, ALL of the Batman movies, the Spiderman movies, the first two X-Men movies, anything starring Natalie Portman (except the Star Wars movies), Laura Linney, or Johnny Depp.

I also watch The West Wing, How I Met Your Mother, Dexter, House, The Office, and The Daily Show.

Music: I listen to a great deal of everything, but go through phases in my listening. Right now, I've been watching a lot Mozart, Puccini, Offenbach, and Aaron Copland operas on youtube. My favorite opera is tied between Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) and The Tender Land (Copland). I love choral music, and especially love Benjamin Britten, Z. Randall Stroop, Eric Whitacre, Rene Clausen, Moses Hogan, Jester Hairston, Andre Thomas, and countless other choral composers you probably haven't heard of.

On some level, I love pretty much every musical written by anyone other than Andrew Lloyd Webber. I do admit to liking Evita, though. I adore Rogers and Hammerstein, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jeromy Kern, and Stephen Sondheim the most. My favorite musical is Carousel.

Random other music I like includes Billy Joel, Elton John, Ben Folds, the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Jeff Buckley, Phil Ochs, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Ryanhood, Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum, the Indigo Girls, Nickel Creek, Three Dog Night, U2, the B52s, a lot of stuff Madonna put out in the 80s, and a host of other things.

Meal: A pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich, with ketchup on top, a little bacon and sausage on the side, a large glass of orange juice, and a large cup of hot apple cider.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, intelligent conversation, the friends who are my family, books, sunshine, and the gays.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Why I could remember the locations of all the secret mini-games in Donkey Kong Country after having not played it in ten years.

Developing strategies for taking and holding on to Asia when I play Risk.

Gender and sexuality.

How long it will be until football season.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home having a beer, making a chicken and rice dish, and playing Super Nintendo.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a contradiction unto myself, and I love it.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are friendly, intelligent, think good grammar is hot, like staying home and cuddling on the couch watching a movie, or having a killer night out.

You don't smoke or do drugs any more often than I do.

You know who Phil Ochs is.

You want to talk to me about Chicago in the 60s.

You want to teach me songs on the guitar.

You will not be offended if I don't want to have sex on the first date.

You want someone to go with you to the opera, theater, concerts, museums, explore the city with no game plan.

You want to know where the best burgers in the city are.

You should definitely message me if you're bisexual. I love talking to other bisexual people.

DO NOT MESSAGE ME IF:

1. You only looked at my picture and didn't bother reading the rest of it.

2. You're only interested in sex.

3. You want to have a threesome with me and your significant other. If you're looking for a bisexual woman willing to go down on your girlfriend so you can watch, I'm not the girl you're looking for.
