My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
To sum up one's self in a few sentences... it seems sad really. The mere fact that we could possibly be categorized so simply and with such little effort. That said, I'm primarily a very silly person, who spends a great deal of my time being interested in the great mysteries of existence.

I am a Discordian, and a Wiccan. I hold a great deal of interest in the things that people believe, as it tends to detail a great deal about an individual. That doesn't mean that I am especially religious myself, it just holds a fascination for me.

I am quite thoroughly polyamorous.

I've been a martial artist and a drummer, each for over 25 years.

Robert Anton Wilson, Dan Savage, and The Dalai Lama are among my heroes. I've also been known to say that Dan Savage is my celebrity spirit animal, which I stole unapologetically from Doctor NerdLove.

I am joy, chaos, and hugs.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've not so recently relocated to Ohio. Prior to here I've spent my entire life in Idaho with the exception of several trips and vacations to other parts of the US and Canada. I'm working in the QA field, and generally trying to learn to relax better.

I'm heavily involved in the local kink and BDSM communities. I run an educational group that meets weekly to teach people how to engage in these activities safely and with as much skill and fun as possible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Computers, games of all sorts, wireless technology, martial arts, roller blading, being silly, bringing joy into the universe, learning, finding things to smile about, logical thought, emotional stability, listening to people, being a shoulder to cry on, caring deeply about people
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm decently tall at 6' 2". I like hugs. I have long hair (currently). I'm well built. I smile a lot. I'm quite genuine.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have kinda a personal library, it might be easier to discuss some of my favorite authors. I'm a big fan of Robert Anton Wilson, Tristan Taormino, Violet Blue, R.A. Salvatore, Warren Ellis, Margaret Weis, Niel Gaiman, Jim Butcher, Stephan King, Ray Bradbury, Max Brooks (if you haven't read World War Z, you need to), Kevin J. Anderson, Terry Goodkind, Troy Denning, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Brooks, Louise Cooper, Anne Rice, J. K. Rowling, Stephen R. Lawhead, Isaac Asimov, Raymond E. Feist, Laurell K. Hamilton, Alan Moore, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Robert Jordan.

In music I like just about anything that isn't country/western, I tend to listen to a lot of Himsa, Ween, Callenish Circle, 7 Seconds of Love, Marilyn Manson, Green Day, Regina Spektor, Daft Punk, Korn, The Aquabats, just about anything Ska or Punk really, Bad Religion, 311, Lords of Acid, Barenaked Ladies, A Perfect Circle, Primus, Tool, and Led Zeppelin to name a few. I enjoy music a lot, and I refuse to be tied to only one genre or small selection of artists. I'm quite eclectic.

Movies I tend to go for my favorite actors a lot, Eddie Izzard, Jack Black, Helena Bonham Carter, Edward Norton, Christina Ricci, Rachel Weisz, Clive Owen, Benicio Del Toro, Samuel L. Jackson, Parker Posey, Quentin Tarantino, Steve Buscemi, Hugo Weaving, Johnny Depp, Natalie Portman, Uma Thurman, Ewan McGregor, Janeane Garofalo, and many others...

I suppose I could list some of my favorite movies too though. The Big Lebowski, A Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Iron Man, Dr. Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Being John Malkovich, Princess Bride, Donnie Darko, The Crow, Kill Bill, Shortbus, Smoke Signals, Officespace, Once Upon A Time In China, Big Trouble In Little China, Repo! The Genetic Opera, V for Vendetta, Willow, The Usual Suspects, Sean of the Dead, and many more...

I'm also a huge fan of anything Tim Burton and Kevin Smith have ever done.

TV I don't tend to watch a lot of, and the few shows I want to watch I usually end up catching up with online... those shows would be Doctor Who, Smallville, The Venture Brothers, Supernatural, Swingtown, Dollhouse, Dexter, 24, Torchwood, House M.D., True Blood, and Heroes. That at least covers what's still on the air anyway. For those things not still on the air, Firefly, Buffy, Angel (yes, I'm a Joss fan), Dead Like Me, Carnivale, Coupling, The L Word, Weeds, The Dead Zone, Wonderfalls, West Wing, Twin Peaks, X-Files (are you sensing the sci-fi theme yet?), and Battlestar Galactica to name some.

I'm also a huge anime fan.

My favorite food would be chicken fettachinni alfredo. Although it's rare that I find something I don't enjoy. Food is a very excellent thing.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typical things to join people for would include just hanging out, gaming (with paper and dice), Munchkin, Other card games, Movies, Settlers of Catan (and the various and sundry expansions, seafarers, spacefarers, etc), video games (any and all), snuggling, sex, Rock Band, drinking, and a vast array of other things that people might come up with.

I also spend many Fridays at kink conventions and gatherings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm polyamorous. This of course means many things, but basically my feelings for any one person are not limited, or indeed not effected at all, by my feelings for any other person that I know. If I fall in love with someone, there is no blockage in my head like there is for some other people that stops me from falling in love with any other 15 people, one at a time or all at once.

This of course doesn't mean I'm nearly as promiscuous as it might sound.

Tristan Taormino wrote a book called "Opening up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships" which takes on the subject in a healthy, adult manner. If you would like to know more about polyamory, that book might be a good place to start.

If you are filled with desperate desire that enflames your soul and must, or be consumed by it. Or if you want to say something silly. Or if the guy who thinks he's the only pope is in town and you need someone to join you in making fun of him. Or just if you feel like it.
