Music - Stars, Blue Scholars, Nas, Common, Outkast, Common Market, The Album Leaf, tons of other recent instrumental hip-hop artists that I've found on bandcamp the past few years (such as http://cultclassicrecords.bandcamp.com/album/friends-family-2 ), Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, This Will Destroy You, Dredg, Imogen Heap, and other stuff
Food - spaghetti, curry chicken, pizza. Yeah, I'm basic as fuck when it comes to food.

besides essential things like food/water/shelter/clothing/whatever, I tend to prepare myself for the idea that I can "lose" those types things at any time. So I try not to get *too* attached to material things. Sounds kinda depressing, I know. I REALLY like my Xbox 360 though, haha.
