My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
-Always human

-Often hungry (you have NO idea! I eat more than anyone I know)

-Sometimes sleepy

-Hiking/backpacking, biking, trail running , rock climbing. YES!

-Sometimes a couch is OK too. And I love to cook.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working at a food Co-Op! Learning new recipes Training for a half-marathon. Dreaming of hiking really long distances.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making Buffalo Wings. Writing. Making last-minute plans to go backpacking. Packing (especially packing cars). Traveling light.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sensitive, kind, creative, enthusiastic. As for physical traits, black glasses, brown-ish beard, well-groomed but wearing simple clothing. I'm not very fancy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

-Taylor Swift, Robyn, The Talking Heads, Kylie, Phish, Tori Amos, Tegan and Sarah, Daft Punk, Willam Belli. Of course, I love classic rock, too...all that stuff is great.

-East of Eden, Catcher in the Rye, Into the Wild, Born to Run, Kurt Vonnegut, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

-Love reading the NY Times on Sundays. Sort of a ritual, when I'm not away for the weekend.

-Almost any period drama! I love big productions with all sorts of amazing sets and costumes. The Big Lebowski is probably my favorite movie and the one I've seen the most. I'm a sucker for a good love story, too. I don't like historical drama, in most cases. "Lincoln" bored me to tears. Also, I'm a sucker for romance movies. I love documentaries, especially ones about running or hiking.

-Shark Tank, Game of Thrones, occasionally a game show like Jeopardy! I'm hardly an Anime fanatic by any stretch, but I loved Evangelion and Utena. They are both "deconstructionalist" animes and invert many common themes.

-I like all food. Recently, however, I've been thinking that I'd maybe rather not eat meat. So I'm trying that out. I'm an excellent cook, and whatever I make always turns out well.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Potatos, mountains, Tevas, Nor'easters, running, water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-gender. I've always been really fascinated with how gender is constructed and defined in our society.

-food. I love cooking. I love eating.

-my next run. running is fun. I think a lot about my training and what my next big goal is. Currently, that's a half marathon in June.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting ready for work on Saturday (I almost always work Saturday mornings)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm an open book. I'll tell you anything.
