My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hiking, running, camping being outside. I'm basically a simple person. I like cooking. I appreciate reliable automobiles. I love staying organized with spreadsheets.

Although I sometimes need to cut a rug at a big dance party, I usually enjoy quieter activities like going for a walk or an art gallery or just talking. I love a quiet dinner that we cooked together (or I cooked for you!) with some good beer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working at a food co-op and interning at an LGBT organization in the city. Learning new recipes (and perfecting old ones). Running. Dreaming of hiking really long distances. Figuring out the meaning of life. Trying to keep my feet warm. Finding time for a really great nap (rare).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing too many words. Making Buffalo Wings--mine are amazing, you'll love them, I promise! Making last-minute plans to go backpacking. Packing (especially packing cars). Traveling light (lies).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sensitive, kind, creative, enthusiastic (I LOVE being excited about something!), empathetic. I've been told that people really notice my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
-Taylor Swift! Classic rock. The Talking Heads, Fleetwood Mac, Kylie, Madonna, Robyn, Tegan and Sarah, Daft Punk

-I like books about movement and change (East of Eden, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and anything about running (Running with the Buffaloes is a great read). I also like books about "extremism" (think: John Krakauer)

-Movies: I love almost any period drama! I love big productions with all sorts of amazing sets and costumes. The Big Lebowski is probably my favorite movie and the one I've seen the most. Also, I'm a sucker for a good tear-jerking romance movie. I love documentaries.

-TV: I don't really watch much TV, but I do like Shark Tank, Game of Thrones, occasionally a game show like Jeopardy! I also like watching the football and the Olympics

-I like all food. I like to eat out. I like to cook. I'll try ANYTHING. Pretty much the only food I don't love is frozen lima beans. I love Mexican and French food. I love pizza and burgers. Beer is great. My favorite meal is probably something along the lines of roasted chicken with potatoes and cruciferous vegetables.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, mountains, pizza, nor'easters, running, water and a sense of humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-food. I love cooking. I love eating.

-justifiable soda consumption.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting ready for work on Saturday (I almost always work Saturday mornings)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm transgender.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to meet up with someone who is totally amazing and intelligent and cute and attractive and skillful and is also, like, totally modest.

Also, please have a good sense of humor (maybe be a little sarcastic but not in a mean way!)

You are close to me. Not exactly sure what this means, but certainly anything over 50 miles away is not close. Ideally, we'd be within 15-30 minutes away from each other (or closer).

Finally, please say more than just "hey"...
