I grew up in the South, went to college on the East Coast,
and now live in the Midwest. I love to travel: I worked as a travel writer in
Belize and
Thailand and also
taught English in Africa. Now, I'm finishing my doctorate in Chicago...hoping to make a small
contribution to a better understanding of and a better world!
I am independent, laid back, and have a dry sarcastic style of humor. While I do enjoy music and art, this should not be equated with ability to draw, sing, or play the didgeridoo.
