My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I see you want to know about me. What have you gotten yourself into ...

Well, for starters, I'm a quirky artist with a dark sense of humor and a very strange and very strong love for slugs. I'm also prone to writing too much.

I enjoy: *drawing, reading, exploring new places, expressing my inner child (come roll down a hill with me!), traveling, writing, forest walks, climbing trees, hissing at onions, chasing quail, poking anemones, putting little parasols in my food, setting mummified gator feet on my coworkers' shoulders and measuring how loudly they scream, and a variety of other things.* :)

I'm a little bit of a nerd, so I'm always up for trying out a new anime or learning a new game. I still adore pokemon. Some of my friends are teaching me MTG so if you're a fan of the game, I will play with you (Catacomb Slug is my spirit animal)~

And now, let's talk about you! Are you a creative soul who wants someone to draw with/write with/bounce ideas off of? Would you like to go rock climbing, hiking, geocaching, or adventuring off into the middle of nowhere? Or perhaps you're interested in curling up with a scary movie after looking up a new recipe and attempting to master it (I'm an absolute failure at banana pudding and I regret nothing). Are you a fan of roller coasters in need of someone to scream with? Feel like having deep, philosophical conversations with someone while playing board games with weird twists? Do you tend to fanboy/fangirl over your obsessions? Are you in any way a person who doesn't require drugs, alcohol, or crowds of people to have fun? If several or all of these apply to you, then perhaps we should meet up!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just got a new job at a design company and I'm adoring it like crazy. Maybe I just haven't dealt with the truly crazy customers yet, but so far I'm loving every minute of my work.

A dream I've had since I was four has been to become a children's book author/illustrator ... which is amusing considering I'm not the biggest fan of small children. Still, as a child I was greatly inspired to become an artist thanks to storybook illustrations, and if I can use my own illustrations to pass on a love of art to the next generation, my goals in life will be fulfilled. Slightly newer dream: write and illustrate graphic novels.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing animals. Overusing emoticons when I'm typing. Massages. Making custom handmade pokemon cards. Finding everything amusing. Listening to people when they need a ranting pillow (hint: I am the ranting pillow). Setting up elaborate scavenger hunts for my friends. Procrastinating. Making terrible jokes involving the consumption of babies. Sneaking into fancy hotels to ride the windowed elevators up and down. I'm fairly good at juggling, too. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Woah, you're tall!"

"Is that your natural eye color?"
-this question is a lot more entertaining if I'm wearing red contacts-

I've also been told by a lot of random people that I look like Arwen and it pleases me to no end.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I like fantasy novels and animal-based fiction, as well as tragedy and horror. Graphic novels are pure love (I've developed quite a fondness for the Flight anthologies, as well as anything Shaun Tan creates), and I also have an ongoing collection of children's books, specifically ones with beautiful illustrations. *Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Giver, Anne of Green Gables (go ahead, judge me), The Book Thief, The Sight, Let's Pretend This Never Happened, anything David Sedaris writes, and so many more*

Movies: Chances are if I'm watching something, it's either animated or a horror movie. I'm biased against romantic comedies. *Pan's Labyrinth, The Orphanage, Garden State, Memoirs of a Geisha, Labyrinth, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Cabin in the Woods, Miyazaki films, Pixar movies, The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, Paranorman, Coraline, Tangled, How to Train your Dragon 1&2* I also find it amusing how two romantic comedies made it onto the list.

TV: Unhealthy amounts of cartoons, snippets of anime here and there, and shows with a dark twist. *The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time, Face Off, Law & Order SVU, Criminal Minds, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Bob's Burgers, Teen Titans, ATLA & LOK, 90s cartoons*

Music: My tastes are varied ... dance, symphonic rock, folk, Celtic, KPop, etc. I love violins and Celtic flutes more than one should really love instruments. *Faun, Lindsey Stirling, Pentatonix, Crooked Still, Within Temptation, Breaking Benjamin, Enya, Owl City, VIXX, whatever I can get my hands on to chipmunk*

Food: Cheese. Sour Cream. Whatever you can give me that I can put cheese and sour cream on. I could live comfortably on Mexican and Thai food. I also make the most kickass smoothies.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Mmkay, aside from the obvious friends and family ...

Prismacolor pencils and a sketchbook
Something to write with
The realm of fantasy
My personal paradise
Programs that let me speed up songs until they're virtually unrecognizable

*cheats and adds a 7th*
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably in my house drawing, cuddling my cat, or doing something nerdy with a friend like playing pokemon cards. :D Or Cards Against Humanity night! And then come the scary movies ... >:}
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have trichotillomania.

I am also a little bit of a furry. Have I scared you off yet? :P
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-I am weird enough for your tastes
-You are also a fucking weirdo :)
-Your idea of fun is marathoning cartoons while doodling to your heart's content
-You understand the wonders of terrible fanfiction
-You can enjoy someone's company by doing your own things together
-You want to visit the Cal Academy of Sciences :D
-You can write something better than 'hey watsup'

I reply very selectively, so please don't take it personally if I don't respond--it doesn't mean you aren't interesting (unless you send something incredibly generic like 'hey watsup,' in which case I will happily ignore you).
