My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I see you want to know about me. What have you gotten yourself into ...

Well, for starters, I'm a quirky artist with a dark sense of humor and a bit of a book store addiction. I love writing, exploring new places, expressing my inner child (come roll down a hill with me!), drawing, rock climbing, outdoor things that aren't necessarily sports (forest walks, climbing trees, etc), reading, singing, hissing at onions, chasing quail, poking anemones, putting little parasols in my food, setting mummified gator feet on my coworkers' shoulders and measuring how loudly they scream, and a variety of other things. :) I have bits of nerdiness swimming around my personality, so sometimes I must spontaneously marathon a new anime or write fanfiction for a series that was once my obsession (also, if you grew up watching and loving Teen Titans then we are friends). I love all things relating to personality. I am an INFP and a type 4w5. Feel free to tell me what you are. :)

And now for you! Are you a creative soul who wants someone to draw with/write with/bounce ideas off of? Would you like to go rock climbing, hiking, or adventuring off into the middle of nowhere? Or perhaps you're interested in curling up with a scary movie after looking up a new recipe and attempting to master it (I'm an absolute failure at banana pudding and I regret nothing). Are you a fan of roller coasters in need of someone to scream with? Feel like having deep, philosophical conversations with someone while playing board games with weird twists? Are you in any way a person who doesn't need drugs, alcohol, or crowds of people to have fun? If several or all of these apply to you, then perhaps we should meet up!

Ah. Looks like OKC added some new sexualities to the list. Now I don't have to feel awkward announcing myself as bisexual when I'm primarily straight, but with a little leeway. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Bear with me, I'm in my 20s so I don't have my life figured out yet. :P

My dream since I was four has been to become a children's book author/illustrator ... which is amusing considering I'm not a big fan of small children. Although I got myself an internship animating and illustrating for children's books apps, which was incredibly fun, it ended recently and I'm not sure that form of animation is what I want to pursue. I suppose I'll have to think more about that.

My job right now may not be grandiose or particularly impressive, but for the time being I can enjoy it while adding little bits to savings here and there. In the meantime, I'm working to finish a children's book I'm writing. This is where the "useless" Art major/English minor comes into play :P
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing animals. Overusing emoticons when I'm typing. Massages. Making custom handmade pokemon cards. Correcting grammar. Listening to people when they need a ranting pillow (hint: I am the ranting pillow). Procrastinating. Making terrible jokes involving the consumption of babies. Sneaking into fancy hotels to ride the windowed elevators up and down. I'm fairly good at juggling, too. :)

I can also tell you what element your hand is ... ask me, I love doing it. :3
The first things people usually notice about me

"Woah, you're tall!"

"Is that your natural eye color?"
-this question is a lot more entertaining if I'm wearing my red contacts-
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I have far too many books I love to list off many, and there's not much of an order for them. I like fantasy novels and animal-based fiction, as well as tragedy and horror. Graphic novels are pure love (I've developed quite a fondness for the Flight anthologies). The usual favorites make it onto my list: Harry Potter and Hunger Games, but I also have an ongoing collection of children's books, specifically ones with beautiful illustrations. Anne of Green Gables is probably my favorite book for a long list of reasons (go ahead, judge me). Most recent favorite book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Most recent favorite author is David Sedaris.

Movies: Huge fan of animated movies (from Disney to Dreamworks to Miyazaki films), psychological thrillers, animal documentaries, and horror movies. I'm biased against romantic comedies. Some of my favorites are Pan's Labyrinth, Paranorman, Coraline, Tangled, Garden State, Cabin in the Woods, The Secret of Kells, Scott Pilgrim VS The World, The Orphanage, Perks of Being a Wallflower, and How to Train your Dragon 1&2. I also find it amusing how two romantic comedies made it onto the list.

TV: Unhealthy amounts of cartoons, snippets of anime here and there, and other shows with a dark twist. American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Face Off, Law & Order SVU, Criminal Minds, Gravity Falls, The Amazing World of Gumball, 90s cartoons.

Music: I like a little of a lot of things ... dance, symphonic rock, Celtic, KPop, Top 40, etc. I love Faun, Lindsey Stirling, Pentatonix, Crooked Still, Within Temptation, Breaking Benjamin, Jeff Johnson & Brian Dunning, Enya, VIXX, SHINee, and whatever I can get my hands on to chipmunk. >w> I love violins and Celtic flutes more than one should really love instruments. I hate jazz and don't care much for rap.

Food: Cheese. Sour Cream. Whatever you can give me that I can put cheese and sour cream on. I could live comfortably on Mexican and Thai food. I also make the most kickass smoothies.
The six things I could never do without

-not necessarily in order-
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably in my house drawing, reading, or doing something awesome with a friend like playing pokemon cards. :D

And I always enjoy watching random movies with friends, especially horror movies late at night with the lights off. Not big on parties if you can't tell.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have trichotillomania. Not that it's particularly private, but if you want to know why my hair looks like devil horns on top, now you know.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You want someone who will motivate you creatively, and you wouldn't mind doing the same for me
-You won't be scared off by all the little demented drawings in my sketchbook >w>
-You want to learn to juggle, and you feel like teaching one of your own skills as well (useless skills are also appreciated)
-You want to visit the Cal Academy of Sciences :D
-You can write something better than 'hey watsup'

I reply very selectively, so please don't take it personally if I don't respond--it doesn't mean you aren't interesting (unless you send something incredibly generic like 'hey watsup,' in which case I will happily ignore you).

If we do start talking and decide to meet up, it will be as friends first and foremost. I want to get to know you as you, and if something more stems from that, awesome. If you are ONLY interested in a relationship, I'm probably not the best person to talk to.
