My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m going to try something new here. It’s a little radical for online dating, so bear with me. I’m going to be honest. It’s hard to pin down who or what I am. It is the nature of life to constantly be in flux, and as people we are no exception. Most of our difficulties come from resisting this change, resisting the inevitable. I have been trying to lean into it lately, and follow my path. Whatever that means.

Since moving to British Columbia, nothing has been more important than surrounding myself with nature. I care more about sunsets than possessions. At the end of our lives, will we wish we had played more Farmville, spent more time on the internet, made more money? Reaching the end of a challenging hike, standing atop a mountain staring out over a vast landscape, now that’s living.

I’m a scientist at heart, always wondering, always questioning. Concepts and ideas are the crux of life. I’m looking to meet people who are not afraid to think outside of the social “norms” that western society has imposed on us. People willing to have discussions that extend beyond the surface experiences of everyday life. We live in a culture of instant gratification, but the most important things in life take time. To that end I am trying to be more patient and present, not lingering in past or future, neither of which really exist. It isn’t easy.

This is where I am right now. Take it or leave it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working my first 9-5 and wondering if there isn't more to life than working for the next 40 years.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing piano- I've played for many years and try to keep it up whenever I have time. There are few gifts more rewarding than the gift of music.

Math. The language of the Universe. I really enjoy working with numbers.
The first things people usually notice about me

My sense of humour (or apparent lack?). Deadpan sarcasm is hard to detect when you first meet someone.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The universe and my place in it (or lack thereof).

If time travel is possible, and if so when I would go.

Appreciating the fact that I am alive.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out at a friend's place or at a pub. Though a night in watching movies is always enjoyable.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a Leafs fan. Granted, this was more embarrassing before last season.
