My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"I am an almost extinct breed, an old-fashioned gentleman, which means I can be a cast-iron son-of-a-bitch when it suits me." --Jubal Harshaw

I'm a disillusioned hopeless romantic on a mission. I want a girl who wants me too. I don't want a girl who needs me, nor do I need a girl who wants me. I'm not here to chat flirtatiously for a week or two and have nothing more come of it. I'm not looking for a hookup. I want to find someone complimentary: an instigator and a reciprocator. I'm willing to spend some gas and dedicate some time.

I've written enough job resumes and applications to be sick of writing self-summaries. If you know what I mean, we'll likely get along just fine.

I do have a degree in physics and another in music performance. So there's that. Weird, I know.

Oh! I also recently acquired a lip piercing and haven't taken a good picture yet. So just imagine that profile pic with a sexy lower-lip ring.

ISTJ/INTJ
I've taken multiple tests multiple times, and I always score right in between sensing and intuition. I usually lean toward intuition. I am the Mastermind :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in a cleanroom as a part of the manufacturing process for optoelectronic computer chips, both lasers and detectors. Honestly, what I do is a lot less technical than it sounds.

I want to be a professional musician. Singer/songwriter most likely. I'm slooowly building a home studio, writing songs, and recording. This is my passion. I have no desire to be a starving musician, so I'm taking my time and earning a decent living in the meantime.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Nothing in particular. I do a lot of things better than most, but I'm not the best at anything, really. I'm more of a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. A dying breed and for good reason.

Hiking, camping, canoeing, swimming, reading, playing guitar, singing, playing 9-piece drum kit, computer RPGs, paying bills on time, finding 1 or 2 lifelong fantastic friends, drinking whiskey, vodka, and gin, aural compositional analysis, knowing a little bit about everything, not getting along with most authority figures, playing trombone, playing soccer, talking about black holes, quasars, and other strange physical, mostly cosmic, phenomena
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm quiet and keep to myself. Most people I eventually get to know tell me that when they first met me, I gave off an air of aloofness, even arrogance. And then they take it all back when they realize that I'm a kind, hard-working, intelligent guy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Stranger in a Strange Land; Overqualified; anything by Douglas Adams; the Young Wizards series by Diane Duane
I love to read, more so than most. It's just gotten more and more difficult to find books that I really like. So my 'favorites' list is short.

Movies - V for Vendetta; Batman: The Dark Knight; The Princess Bride; Red vs Blue; Equilibrium; The Matrix; Where the Wild Things Are; South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut; Avatar; Ironman; most of Joss Whedon's creations; Pulp Fiction; most things Miyazaki, especially Nausicaa

Music - Can't really be thinned out. Like I said, music is my passion. I like all kinds. I do tend to favor post-grunge; gimme distorted guitar and angsty lyrics in a guttural voice any day. I can give a favorite band though: Foo Fighters

Partial musical list of stuff I like a lot: Seether, 30 Seconds to Mars, A Day to Remember, Fuel, Sick Puppies, Alterbridge, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, Ludwig von Beethoven, The Vitamin String Quartet, Rockappella, Crossfade, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Them Crooked Vultures, Chicago, Huey Lewis and the News, Nickel Creek, Breaking Benjamin, The What Nows!?, Jet, Paramore, Switchfoot, Hoobastank, Nickel Creek, the Black Keys, Jack White, Mike Shinoda (though I'm rather rapidly becoming less and less of a fan), early and mid Soundgarden, Franz Liszt, the Beatles

Food - is fuel. Although, good sushi is amazing, and a cooked-to-order steak is a thing of beauty.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My best friend
My guitar (and picks and capo, etc)
Paper - upon which to write lyrics and chord progressions
Pencils - with which to write lyrics and chord progressions
My money-pit of a car
My home computer/recording system

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Nothing. Seriously. It takes practice, but it's certainly nice to be able to do.

When I can't do that, I tend to think about past and present relationships: friendly, family, and romantic. People fascinate and aggravate me endlessly.

You want to meet in person. Of course, online conversation can come first so that you can rest assured that the person you're thinking about meeting isn't a creeper, which EVERYONE is worried about. However, I'm not looking for online friends, I want to meet people in real life.
