My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I do a lot of work in fisheries science, so let's talk fish! I work on commercial fishing boats around New England taking samples, weighing fish, and documenting species. I can be out to sea for up to 2 weeks (sometimes more) at a time working with fishermen. I'm always up for the next adventure. I'm going to through hike the A.T. in a couple of years when I get my backup funds ready. I pay all my own bills and live alone in my own apartment. I had 3 fish tanks in my apartment at one point because I got bored when I wasn't working and I became a bit of a fish hoarder....but I've taken up painting and crocheting now haha. I like pets better than people, I don't believe in god, you would have to be super special to get a kid out of me, and you will not find me walking barefooted in a kitchen making you a sandwich.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
On the road to being a Fish Biologist! So, be jealous because my job is super cool! I work on commercial fishing boats out of New England and Alaska. I have started taking trips 300 miles off the coast of Canada, so I might as well be half way between New England and Old England. There is something magical about being out to sea for weeks on end with no land in sight. Deadliest Catch, watch yourself...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being clever and finding a solution for most things. I'm also good at getting distracted....don't be offended if I get excited and start chasing a snake I find in the woods when you were mid-conversation with me. I see nature and I just want to touch it haha
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Is that I'm awesome! I always try to make it a good time for all! But they probably notice more that I sound a little over-excited and scatterbrained...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Farscape. If you say Firefly, then that's sad...It got cancelled for a reason hahaha. I like Harry Potter and I don't care who knows it. Ender's Game series. Other Books: House of Leaves (Creepy as hell), Getting Stoned With Savages, Sex Lives of Cannibals, The Twilight Series would have been good if at the very end it was revealed that there is no such thing as vampires and that Bella was young and brainwashed by her abusive controlling bf Edward (how else can you condone a book promoting pedophilia? It's ok that she's a 3 year old, he will be like her older brother until she becomes of age? WTF?)

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series (books and movies). Fight Club (book and movie). Death to Smoochy (Edward Norton=God). Pan's labyrinth, Don't be afraid of the Dark, The orphanage, basically anything by Guillermo del Toro. Suspenseful Horror movies, not gore. Romantic comedies are boring and predictable.

I like Indian/Latin/Asian food. Anything spicy is good. I like a little of everything. I tend to collect soundtracks because they are used to invoke emotion for particular scenes. I like dubstep, I used to play the violin so I like classical (Vivaldi-not the 4 seasons though), anything that has a cello solo, spanish/classical guitar=amazing. K'naan (he actually has something to say), Adele, System of a Down, Max Richter compositions, Muse, Lindsey Stirling, Ratatat, Mumford & Sons.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
How about.....My thought of a perfect evening?:
Cuddled up in a soft blanket next to someone, sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows, with a campfire, in the middle of the woods, on a chilly fall afternoon, watching the leaves change and the clouds pass by.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the I can be in it....and what lives in it....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hopefully sleeping on a commercial fishing boat and earning money at the same time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
ask something and I'll probably tell you...

you are not a creeper, you do not think the definition of a nerdy geek is someone that sits and plays video games all day (video games are fun, but sunshine is better...also geeks should be inventing dinosaur chickens or something), you are not looking for a fuck buddy (that's gross, I don't fuck strangers, I'll only fuck someone I care about and have known for a long time).

If you're looking for a friend, let me know ;)
