I am introverted, clever, and jackhammer.
My Self-Summary
Well, I'm 23 years old at the moment and a super recent college
grad of RIT.
You know, to be honest, I'd just really like to meet people just to
talk to, but dating is always good too.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an economics degree graduate. I was originally in software
engineering but I got sick of coding. So, I went into economics and
the rest is history.
I want to go to grad school for at least a master's, but I'd really
like a PhD. I'd like to be a professor mostly so I can do research
and impact the minds of students and inspire them to go forth in
the world for change, but if I end up working for some company or
even teach at a community college.
At the moment, I i just started as a jewelry associate at Wal Mart,
but hopefully I can get into graduate school soon.
I’m really good at
Solving complicated math problems for my innumerate friends,
remembering obscure things about people, and MacGuyvering stuff
when I'm in need of something
The first things people usually notice about me
My voice (people think it's an accent, it's not), the fact I look
like I'm from India (never even been to India), my glasses, and my
awesome hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a) The Catcher in the Rye, 1984, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the
Galaxy, the Harry Potter books, Lord of the Rings, Hamlet, Steal
This Book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Little Prince, Versos
Sencillios, Economics in One Lesson
b) Tommy, Pink Floyd's The Wall, Yellow Submarine, the Star Wars
movies (though I'm not too crazy about the prequels), Napoleon
Dynamite, Good Bye Lenin!, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, 2001: A
Space Odyssey, Office Space, Monty Python & The Holy Grail, The
Matrix, A Clockwork Orange, The Big Lebowski, Rocky Horror Picture
Show, Shock Treatment, Rock and Roll High School, Dr. Strangelove,
Death Wish, Falling Down, Red Dawn, V for Vendetta, They Live, any
zombie movie by George Romero, Idiocracy, Watership Down
c) The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Simon & Garfunkel,
The Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Rush, The
Ramones, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Kinks, CCR, Coldplay, John
Lennon, They Might Be Giants, Dethklok, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden,
REM, ELO, The Pogues, Roy Orbison
d) Generally speaking? Mostly American though I'm not too fussy.
Specifically? Pizza, I suppose. This is a bit random but probably
my favorite breakfast is Vegemite (or in a pinch, Marmite) on
toast.
The six things I could never do without
1) My computer
2) A few good books
3) A yellow legal pad with a rollerball pen
4) My iPod (no, I'm not a corporate tool - I just like having my
music in such a convenient format)
5) clean underwear
6) a light jacket, or maybe a sweater (in case I get cold)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future, how I can change the world, how to stop global warming
using free market mechanisms, places to visit sometime, the
weekend, economics, what I'll get in the mail, time travel, books
to read, alternate history/timelines, and on occasion, about girls
On a typical Friday night I am
doing any number of things. Sometimes I have quite elaborate nights
out, but usually my Friday nights are rather quiet as I read or
watch a movie or something like that. Lately, seems like my Friday
nights consist of me arguing politics and philosophy with friends
online.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I didn't learn how to ride a bike until I was 16.
You should message me if
you wanna take a chance on me. Or more simply, you'd just like to
get to know me a bit more.
Also, if you want to know where I got my username (or if you know
where it's from).
