I suppose most importantly, I'm very femme and date feminine-identified women only (sorry ladies, but who can explain chemistry?). I'm a passionate wildlife biologist, artist, photographer, writer and enthusiastic world traveler with an insatiable appetite for new experiences and lifelong learning. A love of animals and the environment defines who I am and my work in the world. Driven to create, to document, to investigate, and to experience everything I can cram into one lifetime (or possibly many, if I have anything to say about it).

Travel to appreciate natural and cultural landscapes is one of my greatest pleasures, to record in paint (watercolor and acrylic) and photographs. Surprises are good and I hate getting into a rut at anything! Athletic (despite being chubby at the moment), I enjoy swimming, snorkelingkayaking horseback riding, volleyball, softball, racquetball, tennis, dancing, and more.

My best friends assure me that I'm positive and enthusiastic, plus they think I'm fun to be around (it's mutual). Really funny things always seem to happen to me...

I guess I'd have to admit to being introspective, shy at first, funny and silly, occasionally wicked, serious at times, and very much "what you see is what you get". I have an exotic sexy side that comes out with the right woman. Friends tell me I'm a great storyteller around the campfire with a guitar and a good cook as well.

Tomboys welcomed. Love jewelry and perfumes, incense, the sound of children laughing, cats purring, and cuddling with that special person. Generally serially monogamous, I'm not in a romantic relationship at the moment but looking for friendship and open to developing it into something deeper with the right person. No particular rush... Respect, honesty, and integrity are my core values, and I appreciated being treated the same.

My list of "must not haves" is short: No games, no mean-spirited people, no dishonesty, no addictions. Free the gypsy in your soul and come share life!

Saving threatened, endangered and imperilled wildlife, creating art, photographing everything, playing, caring for my mother in her final years, writing, laughing, traveling to experience other cultures, honoring indigenous wisdom as the future template for society, exploring spirit, delving deep into my soul's purpose for being on the planet at this pivotal time in history, and loving all my human and animal friends.

All that's missing is that special someone to love and be loved by, and to share the rich tapestry of life.

I think most people enjoy my high energy and focus on positive life experiences. My caring nature must come through because I've become at least friends with every woman I've dated. But I will say that I'm very picky who I see and a bit jealous of my time, so that could be a self-fulfilling prophecy...

Physically,my eyes receive the most compliments.

I'm NOT thin. However, I think my fitness becomes apparent when engaged in activities.

Oldies but goodies: Born Free, anything by Anne McCaffery or Mercedes Lackey, Tolkien, Jean Huston or Joseph Campbell, Angeles Arrien, The Prophet, The Little Prince, Eat/Pray/Love...just too many to list. Come by and peruse my 5 bookcases. They will take over my house some day!

Music---ah, the kindest thing said about my musical tastes is that they are highly ecclectic. I love just about anything but country, gospel or opera. It depends on my mood. John Denver anthems are a particular favorite. Latin music (lovely for dancing), folk is fabulous, rock rocks, Jimmy Buffet is the soundtrack for Carribbean vacations, on and on... Oh--and I love jazz, and classical. I'll stop now

Food--I'll try almost anything once. Fusion, Thai, Afghan, Italian, midwestern American, Chinese, sushi, Greek, BBQ, tapas, Mexican (especially in Mexico--not so much the American version), French, champagne, wine, cocktails, tea, fruit juices, desserts of all kinds ---Hey, I'm getting hungry!

Gratitude for my life, my friends, my family, my work as a wildlife biologist, my artistic talents, physical abilities, and that I'm not skinny

A rich imagination to experience the world through all the senses, with the expressions of art, music, poetry, theater, incense, perfume, global cuisine, the kiss of a lover, the feel of waves lapping gently at my body...
