My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First off, I am not Batman, pity, I know but hey we can't win them all.

Anyway enough of the weird stuff. I'm an outgoing nerdy dude who probably doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut sometimes. The outdoors and the indoors are both realms I frequent. I like reading, video games, movies as much as frisbee, biking, or hiking.

I've seen plankton glow in the dark in Puerto Rico, played hand drums for iguanas in the Caribbean, and walked the illuminated streets of Paris.

I can be a fierce liberal, I'm always a staunch Ally, and Earth is more than just my home.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Though I wish I were pursuing my childhood dream of exploring unknown places, and discovering and proving the existence of the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot, I am involved in the less admirable, less ambitious field and probably less important field of Renewable Energy. And no I don't use that electricity to power my Frankenstein's Monster maker machine. Though I think that would be cool.

Just moved down here to Delaware in March. Moved out on my own, living in a sweet apartment that is slowly coming together.

My job takes up a lot of my time and I'm okay with that. I'm a little afraid of being a workaholic, but I'm striving for the bigger picture.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Board games (Settlers of Catan, Risk, Lords of Waterdeep, Cards Against Humanity, Betrayal at House on the Hill) making analogies, not being a ninja, making faces, not closing tabs on Chrome and having to bookmark 10 articles a day so I can eventually get to them.

I'm also getting pretty decent at Magic the Gathering. So bring it.

Finding the center of the room, starting dance parties, letting the general populace's opinion of me slide.
The first things people usually notice about me

Either I'm quiet and reserved, or loud and bombastic. Most of the time I'm just a cannon salvo waiting to be fired, light the fuse and wait for the boom.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm big into science fiction, fantasy and non-fiction. I will read chronicles, trilogies or stand alones. The original Dune trilogy still blows my mind. I've taken a course, analyzing The Hobbit and LOTR as works of literature (one of the best decisions I've made). The Expanse series is my current favorite sci - fi and I'm about to dive into the world of Malazan, after fighting my way south with The Black Company.

Shows: Doctor Who (thank the universe for Netflix), Battlestar Galactica, The Venture Bros, Adventure Time, Trailer Park Boys. Was a huge fan of Scooby Doo as a kid. The anime I'm currently going through is One-Piece, because who doesn't want pirates with super powers?

Movies: Movies are my thing. I'm big on movies that explore humanity, scare me, or can just entertain me.I love good scifi, horror whether it's good or bad (though I'd have to say Pontypool is the most satisfying horror movie in a while), Action, Comedy. I love anything that parodies itself. I'd have to say that my favorite movie of all time though, just might be Princess Mononoke. I've also watched the LOTR extended edition twice all the way through and by that I mean marathoned it and the Two Towers is definitely my favorite of the three. Documentaries are pretty sweet too.
Show me something, and I'll be hard pressed not to enjoy it, although there are exceptions. If only I could be Bruce Campbell.

Music: I am pretty sure I'm tone deaf, but I love music. I will listen to anything once, and am constantly searching for new music. Currently in an alternative state of mind, but I grew up on punk and metal, and rage at raves with the best of them. Though I must say I do love P!nk and have a weird love of girly pop songs, definitely know all the lyrics to Everytime We Touch. My all time favorite bands will always be Sigur Ros and Modest Mouse, with a healthy dose of Judas Priest and Led Zeppelin, and a dash of Crystal Castles.

Food: I mean, what can I say. I love it, and have been getting into more vegetarian stuff lately.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Movies on a big screen and in the dark
A good story
Dancing - seriously, I can't stop.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I frequently slip into moonage daydreams. But rarely am I squawking like a pink monkey bird.

Life, the universe and everything. Though rarely do I get a definitive answer like 42. Though my friend and I decided that 42 was code for a 4 letter word followed by a 2 letter word. Think about it.

If saving the world would be worth it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Casting magic spells to fight goblins and forest trolls. Or commanding large legions of paper monsters destroying my enemies ruthlessly. Saving the world. Maybe even dancing in the rain.
Or probably at the movies, hopefully enjoying some young chap, or beautiful dame display their moxxi on the silver screen.
Sometimes I grab a mug of mead with my fellow warriors, or slug some dredge from a barrel with my robed companions, or ....go to a bar with some of my friends. I ran out of clever metaphors, deal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a super nice dude. I've been known to sport a fedora (I have three in my closet), and have won several contests for the size and prominence of my neckbeard. I've also occasionally been known to jump into conversations that generalize men and point out that not all men are that way

I have man crushes. Many of them. And I'm likely to talk about them. A lot. I'm trying to decide if Kanye West is about to be inducted.

I also have a deep love for Ke$ha. Yep. There you have it.
