I am carefree, snobbish, and somewhat cynical.

My Self-Summary

I wonder how anybody can answer most of the questions on this site with a clear "yes" or "no". I'm having a hard time not skipping most of them, as the answer to many of those questions is "depends"; the world is not black and white, at least that's what I make myself believe. Same goes to my expectactions as to what potential matches might or should answer - just because no shoe fits it doesn't make the answer "irrelevant" to me.

Oh, and mandatory questions suck.

I just realized that these ramblings give a better description of myself then I could possible write myself. So although this was meant as a filler text, it stays.

P.S.: Did you know you can't use "sarcastic" as an adjective in the "three adjectives"? Well you can't. So I am marked as "somewhat cynical" although I'm not a cynic, I guess I have to deal with that.

What I’m doing with my life

Since I continue to fill in pink textboxes, I obviously have too much time on my hands; a revelation that really astounds me since I would usually state quite the opposite. Oh well. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

I’m really good at

Feeling great. Being a annoying wisecrack. Looking annoyed at the slightest notion of something pissing me off. Preparing food and cooking. Being anal about musical tastes.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't have the slightest idea, but I would guess it's nothing too negative.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My Favorite (A): Books about Music. Arthur Rimbaud. John Milton. Milan Kundera. Philippe Djian. Nick Hornby. Matt Ruff. Oscar Wilde. EA Poe. Neil Gaiman. Clive Barker. The obvious geeky stuff (Pratchett, Adams). Actually too many to list and more than I thought.

My Favorite (B): Movies: Der Himmel über Berlin. Fight Club. Brazil. Clerks. Magnolia. 12 Monkeys. Nightmare before Christmas. Shawshank Redemption. Any film by Lynch, Fellini, or Kurosawa. Toy Story 2. Ying xiong. 2001. Ladykillers. Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind. Braindead. Princess Bride. A Shot in the Dark. Lost in translation. Zelig. (this could go on for quite a while). TV: Seinfeld. Futurama. 10th Kingdom. Twin Peaks. Lost.

My Favorite (C): This is the hardest one to list, since there are too many artists to list and it is in constant flux. I'll try to narrow it down to a few: Cranes. Cocteau Twins. Sonic Youth. Crass. Wipers. Chameleons. Stars. Coil. Joy Division. Big Black. Neubauten. Metric. Emiliana Torrini. Dead Kennedys. Bauhaus. Pixies. EA80. Built to Spill. Trail of Dead. Siouxsie. (Classic) Misfits. Bowie. Nick Cave. Christian Death. Beatles. Swans. De la Soul. Cardigans. Dresden Dolls. Bran Van 3000. Kristin Hersh. FSOL. Fugazi. Broken Social Scene.

My Favorite (D): Sushi. Oh, and no meat please.

The six things I could never do without

Skipping Friends, Humour, Hope, Love, Memories, etc, and going directly to "Things":

Record player (Yes, Vinyl please). Something to take notes with (be it pen/paper, or computer, anything). Something to sit on. Something comfortable to sleep on. Water. Sunglasses.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Things unnoticed by others. Bizarre "What if..." scenarios.

On a typical Friday night I am

There are no "typical friday nights".

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm not really that grumpy.

You should message me if

... you think you have anything remotely interesting to say; I'll let you know if think so too.
