My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm James, and I suppose I'm here to make new friends or just see who else is out there. Hard to sum myself up in words, but I get a thrill out of making others happy, for starters.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a mariner. I work out at sea for half a month, then come back for the other half. I'm gone a lot, but also home a lot, so it's give and take. One cool thing is that I can travel around because of it. The last place I visited was Seattle. It was fun and yet kind of nerve wracking. It's a weird feeling when you show up in a new city without knowing a single soul there, but at the same time it gives that cool adventurer mindset.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

The last book I read was Horns by Joe Hill, which was great. If I had just one book to read forever, I think it'd be Of Mice and Men.

I could go to the movies every day, even to see the more poorly received ones. Whether I'm with someone or just me, I enjoy it all the same. I think my favorite film is Taxi Driver, but the list change all the time. One thing for certain is that I geek out for anything Marvel Studios. They're just really fun movies, and have a magic of picking me up when I'm down.

Music is what I love most. To list everything will take a while, but the two bands I couldn't live without are Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. I've also been on a Foo Fighters kick lately. I like music that's passionate and loud or quiet and subdued. Some other artists I like are Joy Division, Mazzy Star, Marvin Gaye, RCHP, Helmet, The Breeders, The Beatles, Nirvana, Queen, Pearl Jam, and Lorde, just for the way she dances.
