My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I live in Lyon, I do science for a living, which I really love. You can never meet too many people. I melt in the sun, like all good Englishmen should. I am obvious English, but I can now speak French to a reasonable level. (C'est-a-dire je fait seulement deux erreurs par phrase, superb non?) I speak English like a nature, strange that.

I like talking to people, it is fun. Even if I suck at regular small talk and have non-standard conversations (as a friend told me after a few days of knowing me). So, make friends!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Doing science that makes me sound clever when I explain it but half the time I do not know what is going on myself. Reading anything I am given. Drinking pints with unsuspecting strangers. Planning adventures.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding the most inappropriate thing to say in any given situation. I can also cook well for an English.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My arm is coloured in, probably. Or that I am English and loud. Or something else, probably.

I really love reading. I will read anything, about anything. Currently, fantasy historical fiction. But really, if I haven't read it and you tell me to, I probably will.

I am not a huge movie person, and I don't think I could say I have a favourite film really. I can like most films I watch though. I prefer dark endings and strange films that don't follow conventional story lines. I hate that films these days are so formulaic you can almost always predict exactly what will happen.

Not a massive TV person either. Since Fox killed Firefly, I have not watched much. I am just a leaf in the wind ={! Anyway, I just watched Vikings, this was pretty fun.

Music-wise, give rock or metal or punk. Not jazz though.

Foodwise, I do not eat food that looks like it did when it was alive. Or Kiwis. I will try most other things though. Give me greasy fish and chips in newspaper any day though. This is what Englishmen were born to eat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- A good book
- Friends
- Music
- Being inquisitive
- Tea
- Freedom
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
'How to hell do I say that in French.' and 'What is wrong with the French' are common.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I will either be in the local rock pub, or some awful venue listening to music I dislike. Or at home because I will go out on Saturday instead.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I genuinely enjoy those teenage girl comedy movies. Like House Bunny. Beat that for a confession.

You want to talk to someone, and make friends. It is interesting to get to know new people, you can learn a lot.

Or if you think I am undeniably awesome... Haha no, that is not serious. If you want to practise languages with me, sounds much better.
