I'm Dan, I am 25, and originally I am from the Boulder area, though now I am in Fort Collins to go back to school. After high school I took time off to ski, and decided a few years ago that I didn't want to stay on the minimum wage train forever. I still ski as much as I can around my school schedule, though it really isn't as much as I'd like. I also love to hike, bike, camp, fish, play hockey... pretty much anything outdoors really. I enjoy just hanging around the house and reading or whatever, but I like to get out too.

I transferred to CSU in the fall and I am studying Turfgrass Management, Horticulture Business Management, and I am getting a minor in Business Administration. I have been working summers at golf courses for several years, and my goal is to be running a course in the next 5 to 10 years. I totally fell in love with working outside, working with different problems everyday, and trying to present the golfers the best product day in and day out.

I have a great memory for random facts, but I never remember them unless the situation prompts it. I'm also good with my hands, I can figure out how to make or do just about anything if I have the time.

I love to read in my free time. I really enjoy satirical novels, including authors Vonnegut , Palahniuk, and Christopher Moore. I also like sci-fi/fantasy sometimes, especially Lord of the Rings and Hobbit, the Ender's saga, and most recently the Song and Ice and Fire.

In terms of music, I like just about everything, though I don't particularly care for country. If I had to pick my favorite albums of all time, the list would look something like this (though it is ever changing): Jay-Z's The Black Album, Common's BE, Ratatat's Remix's 1 and 2, Daft Punk's Alive 2007, Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf, and Wyclef Jean's The Carnival.

I really like shows on Discovery and History Channel, or anything else (semi) educational. Also, Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Weeds, Boardwalk Empire, and The League.

Most of the movies I own are ski porn, but I try to mostly keep up on movies I want to see. It really depends on what kind of movie I am in the mood for, but I love Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and The Big Lebowski, I've probably seen those more than anything else.

I love to try new foods, and I love spicy things. I don't eat out that often, so mostly it is just me throwing something together; the guys in my family have always done most of the cooking.
