My self-summary
Hi there, self summary eh? Right this should be easy...
... It seems introspection's a lot tougher than I thought, lets start with the obvious stuff and go from there shall we?
As can be seen from my photos I usually sport a beard (though I avoid the shaggy tramp look!). I also have a number of piercings including moderate stretched ears and have two tattoos one on each calf.
I'm really quite geeky, I love sci-fi/fantasy movies and literature, watching anime series and films. When I have the inclination I like to draw though I'm not so much into painting, it never seems to go where I want it to, I find pens and pencils much better behaved.
Oh and I have a degree in physics and space technology which I'm blatantly not using for anything useful :)
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm working as an assistant manager in a Tiki bar/pub in Manchester, essentially working ridiculous unsociable hours and not getting paid anywhere near enough money for it, the positive is that it's quite a social job and I get to meet lots of interesting people.
When I'm not working or socialising I'm usually at home messing about on my computer or keeping fit with kettlebells.
I used to go swing dancing, which I really enjoyed but have found it hard to keep up due to work commitments :(
I’m really good at
Inadvertently scaring new members of staff (apparently!), I give awesome hugs and I'm actually a pretty damn good cook too!
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess my piercings, definitely on the occasions when I have my septum piecing out. But even when that's hidden I still have three tunnels of diminishing size tapering up my ears.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite authors : Robert Jordan, J.R.R.Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Isaac Asimov. Generally anything fantasy/sci-fi.

Movies : Brain Dead, Black Sheep, Planet Terror, Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, How To Train Your Dragon, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle (actually pretty much everything done by Studio Ghibli), Blade Runner, The Matrix, Dune, Tron. Again mostly fantasy/sci-fi. Also at the moment I'm following the anime Bleach and have just finished watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Music : Ska, Reggae, Rock, Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Horror Punk, Jazz, Swing, Big Band, Electro swing, Glitch Hop. A few bands and artists would be Mad Caddies, Streetlight Manifesto, The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls, NOFX, The Grit, HorrorPops, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Kings Of Nuthin', The Living End, Caravan Palace, Parov Stelar.

Food : I'll eat pretty much anything, the only things I don't particularly like are mushrooms, uncooked cheese, Ketchup and vinegar. Favorite foods probably Moussaka, Bolognaise or Stroganoff.
The six things I could never do without
Wow, I can't actually think of anything to put here that doesn't make me sound pretentious...
Erm.. family, friends, imagination, entertainment, food, computer?
yeah told ya.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I would survive should I be thrown into a post-apocalyptic world where society was all but wiped out. Not that there's any question as to whether I would survive, I'd totally survive.. just you know how I'd do it.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not working usually at home watching a bit of the old YouTubes (If you sub to Vsauce, Scishow or the Brain Scoop I will probably want to marry you :3). Occasionally I go out and make a disgrace of myself at one of the many bars around Manchester (I refer you to the photo evidence).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I admire people willing to fill this bit of the profile out, really I do. I on the other hand have no such admirable tendencies :P
You should message me if
We have anything in common or you just like the cut of my jib.
Of course those who wish to bestow monies or shiny baubles upon me or are capable of granting wishes are more than welcome to get in touch too :)
