My self-summary
My name is Blake. I was named after the affluent Blake Carrington of the show Dynasty. Perhaps it was an attempt on the part of my mother to imbue me with a portent for financial success. I became a working artist. Sorry, mom.

I hope that, as the door closes on my twenties, that I am entering my best years rather than leaving them. That means a better ethic, far less sugar, far more learning, less pontificating, more listening, less avoidant cycles and slumps, more living. Most importantly, I hope it means better partners.

I consider myself a free-thinker and skeptic, but not in an awful manosphere way.

I still dip my toe in the geek culture spring, but have become grossed out by "fantasy babe boob armor." In other words, I'd love to meet someone who can balance being a progressive, self-aware grownup with sneaking away with me to Comicon.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a degree in music composition but the last five years have landed me as a professional illustrator. I own a startup game company, but we're not off the ground as such. I mostly do freelance.

I'd really love to get to know another career creator, or aspiring career creator. I'd like to know someone who really understands what it is to be just as intimate with your work and output as you are with your partner(s). A life of creation means you're never bored, and it means life can be so much broader and weirder than is taken for granted.
The first things people usually notice about me
Big anime green eyes. If you look close, they shake on a 2 frame loop when I'm stressed.

I've been told that my doctor during babyhood called me "high beams."

The six things I could never do without
I'm sure there are six things which are objectively the six most important things to humans, but we lack the perception or understanding to assess what they are. Anyway, my answer is those things.
On a typical Friday night I am
getting asked out by YOU!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm sure I'm willing to admit more private things than this, but the most pertinent private thing I'm willing to admit is that I am a filthy, filthy man. Just... into things that would make your momma cry.
You should message me if
I've lived as an ethical non-monogamist, I've been in a primary poly relationship, I've been through fancy-free phases, and I've had "monogamish," or incidentally monogamous relationships. My idea of love and happiness takes its own path with each individual, and I try not to let precedent dictate my relationship structures.

That said, while being something of a [ethical]tomcat here and there had its perks, it gets repetitive. It gets old.

I hesitate to say that I want something more "serious," because I think that concept comes with it a lot of assumptions about people. Specifically, my needs have distilled. So, if you are:

-feminist
-humble but fortified
-gentle and kind but not a doormat
-reasonable and sensible
-someone who treats service workers like family and is a kickass tipper.
-sweet as pie. A real gooey center.
-as demure as you are irreverent
-as hilarious as you are earnest
-an avid autodidact
-the kind of creator who is more interested in providing value and enrichment to the world than to satisfy their own ego
-desperately, hopelessly filthy. Like...FUCKING filthy.
-at least 50% homebody who finds the greatest adventures are in your creative life, learning, and discussion.
-ready to go to get Japanese food and talk about music theory!

alert me at once.

Or you know. Just be really nice and a grown up and I'm sure it'll be good.
