I am from northern northern California, in Humboldt County. I was a ceramics focus Art major, but I don't really consider myself to be an artist. I am most at home with sciencey people. I consider myself to be an optimistic nihilist. Like my family and closest friends, I am a nerd, in the non-pejorative sense. I like most animals I meet, but I have two parakeets and love dogs. Oh, and I'm left-handed and an INFP, which is probably only interesting to people who are also left-handed or INFP.

Since I am an introvert, spending time with people that I do not know is draining to me. I want to find someone with whom I can spend time without that drain.

I'm currently doing an internship on the Hill. I plan on visiting at least one Smithsonian museum every weekend while I'm here.

Watching tv online, reciting "Four and Twenty Black Birds Baked in a Pie" with one breath, maintaining mental archive of nerdly facts, making obscure references in the off chance that someone will get them, taking wrong turns when I'm driving somewhere and going on involuntary exploration expeditions, laughing. I also make the best hot chocolate in the world.

I'm bad at fake smiling, but pretty good at real smiles. I have blue eyes.

Books: The Thief of Eddis books, Harry Potter (although I've read them so many times I probably won't read them again for a while), The Riddlemaster trilogy, Abhorsen trilogy, the Dresden Files, and Neverwhere.

Movies: Hot Fuzz, Star Trek II, VIII, and XI, Lord of the Rings, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Fifth Element, The Avengers, Alexander Nevsky, Ratatouille, and any number of other movies. I like scifi/fantasy mainly, action, some comedy, and romance (if I'm in the mood for it).

Shows: Doctor Who, Farscape, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek (all of them. Yes, even VOY and ENT), Doctor Who, Red vs. Blue, The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra, Sherlock, Merlin, and many others, including Doctor Who. I recently watched all of The West Wing and The Vampire Diaries.

Games: Skyrimmmmmmmmmmm!. I could mention a couple others, but mostly I just play Skyrim. Also, I left my 360 in Oregon, so no gaming for a while for me.

Food: I'll try most things at least once. I'm currently on a quest to find the best udon in town, which means I've been going to a *lot* of Japanese restaurants.

Music: Mainly soundtracks of things, like Fallout 3, and Carmina Burana. Otherwise, I'll listen to almost anything but country, rap, smooth jazz, and reggae.
