I am friendly, sociable, and open.

My Self-Summary

I'm a pretty normal guy. I am not flamboyantly gay; I am just gay. I prefer to date guys who are also not overly flamboyant—not closeted, of course (be proud of who you are), but I like to date guys who act like guys. I've got a good career with a pretty good amount of stability (I have been with the same company for 11 years now). I rent a house in the UCF area with some (straight) friends. I like to go for walks just to be moving around and love to have company for them so that I have someone to talk to. You can get me talking and engaged in just about any topic. I have a dog named Gus, so when I walk, he usually comes along. I can be stubborn at times, but I am also fair and big on compromise. Movies are always on my things-to-do list. I try to see a few movies each month in the theater, and love to watch DVDs at home. Although I enjoy going out (especially to dine), I also love to just relax at home and cuddle with someone special. I enjoy cooking when I have time and when there is someone around to help. I have the most fun in the kitchen when cooking with someone. Lately I have been going to a friend's house, once a week to cook a big meal. It's a lot of fun to cook, hang out with a few beers, and maybe play some poker. I'd love to meet someone who is honest, enjoys both relaxing at home and going out, and who has a good sense about who they are in life. I haven't gotten it all figured out yet, so I don't expect you to, but some direction and stability is a good thing.

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I focused on getting the career I wanted first, and now I am back at school getting the degree that I think compliments my interests best.

I’m really good at

I am good at making friends and making people feel comfortable. I am a pretty easy going guy and I love to have conversations with anyone who has something to say.

The first things people usually notice about me

I get a lot of compliments on my blue eyes. Apparently I can be pretty expressive with them :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:
I read occasionally, but not as much as I listen to music and watch movies. When I do read, I like books that one of my roommate's suggests. He knows my tastes pretty well. The last book he had me read was Snow Crash. I loved all of the Harry Potter books and I read some comics, as well. I am also a big fan of The Tao of Poo, "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves," Lapsing Into a Comma, and some other random stuff. I just finished reading The Demolished Man and have started on another book (Stars My Destination) by the same author.

Movies:
As for movies, I like a bit of everything. I really enjoy Sci-fi/Fantasy stuff, but (aside from westerns) there really isn't a genre that I don't like. Some of my favorites include: the new Batman movies, Four Rooms, Labyrinth, Clue, Across the Universe, Indiana Jones, the Harry Potter series, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Moulin Rouge, Spaceballs, Sweeny Todd, Playing By Heart, Fight Club, Star Wars (IV, V & VI).

Music:
I love so many different types of music, but right now, my favorite artists are Ben Folds, Bloc Party, Muse, Thrice, VNV Nation, Third Eye Blind, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Food:
I love so many kinds of food. I enjoy trying different cuisines from around the world. Sadly, I am not a fan of seafood. I have always lived near water, so it's always been around, but it's something I have never been able to eat. Aside from that, I am not too picky.

The six things I could never do without

Family
Friends
My Dog
Humor
Good Food
An Internet Connection - Ok... I might be able to go without that last one, but it'd be hard! (-_^)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

All kinds of things related to anything I have recently read or seen on TV/Movies. My mind is always on one track or another.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either out with friends or chilling at home. I change it up, so it's hard to say.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am a fairly open guy. Just ask me (^_^)

You should message me if

You aren't looking for a random hookup and don't mind getting to know each other before calling it a relationship. I enjoy meeting new people and am single at the moment, but I don't want to just jump into something without doing it right.
