My self-summary
If you ask me for a story, I can tell you about the time I got stranded in Italy. I can tell you the circumstances surrounding my near bout with a drunken Russian gentlemen, or perhaps my conversation with a Scientologist evangelist. And if you're really interested, I can also talk about the time I was almost arrested for trying to get into my own house. But wait, I'm getting ahead of myself!

The first thing I should mention is that my interests are fairly widespread. I'm one of those "Jack of all Trades" people, which is a simple way of saying "I'd like to be a total genius at everything like Da Vinci." I like to read, write, and draw. Comics have always been something I enjoy. I have a slew of web-comics that I read all the time. I'm a voracious reader of graphic novels. I even wrote one once! That's a story in itself.

Literature and art is pretty much the shit. Obviously, this is the only phrase that can capture the true sense of what I mean. I collect books and tea the way other people collect wine. Combing through old bookstores is a favorite of mine; I've been looking for one particular book for about six years now.

If you couldn't tell already, I like stories. I like hearing them and telling them, as long as they're good ones. Clever wordplay is fantastic. Puns, good or bad, have their place on the shelf of conversation, right next to the can of dirty jokes and the preserved brain of Shakespeare. I'm also a human roll-a-dex of random facts that I pick up from isolated corners of the Internet. Did you know octopi have a dominant tentacle that same way we have a dominant hand? I KNOW, RIGHT?

I like to play video games. But I also like being outside. Where else am I going to get Vitamin D and probably sunburn? Ultimate Frisbee and Frisbee Golf are my sports of choice, but any kind of outdoor game can be fun. Just taking a walk is enjoyable for me. I like to explore places I've never been, just for kicks. Abandoned places are especially interesting.

Do you play cards? I love cards. Do you play board games? Aw man, sweet, me too. I guess I just like games in general. Anything that keeps me thinking strategically or, uh, I guess, just thinking.

Conversation is pretty integral, don't you think? I mean to like any kind of interaction. Yeah, you know what I mean. I like to joke a lot and be sarcastic when I talk. I'll tease, too, but I only do that to my friends, so don't take that too seriously. I'm not oblivious; I know when to be serious and when to be casual. I also recognize the importance of compromise. Close-mindedness is kind of infuriating. There should be a simpler way to solve things rather than stubbornness and arguing, right? Of course, when I say simpler way, I mean a top-hatted, handle-bar-moustached, flintlock wielding duel.
On bear mounts.

I am creative, open-minded, and imaginative.
What I’m doing with my life
I just landed a real job at a great company and I'm getting settled into my apartment. Things have been pretty crazy with that, so mostly I'm just used to my new circumstances.
I’m really good at
Imagining ridiculous situations; games; making people laugh (I guess this one depends on humor, though?); being patient; compromising and communicating; listening; writing; telling stories; freaking myself out with an over-active imagination; making a damn good cup of tea; splashing my dialogue with random phrases in other languages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would guess that it would be my height? I'm not really sure, to be honest. Maybe it would be that I talk with my hands a lot. I tend to do that. Or maybe that I joke frequently. Jeez, I don't know!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: H.P. Lovecraft stories, the works of Shakespeare, Lord of the Rings, The Road, Atlas Shrugged, Dubliners, House of Leaves, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Shogun, Catch-22, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Stand, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Waiting for Godot, etc.

Movies: Inception, Donnie Darko, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Matrix, The Animatrix, Fight Club, Cube, The Dark Knight, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Mulholland Drive, Pi, Wizards, Pan's Labyrinth, Dark City, Silent Hill, The Social Network, No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, etc. I tend to like really cerebral movies, as NetFlix would put it.

Music: I tend to like techno and ambiance a lot, but my music library has a whole smattering of lots of genres. Like from the Beatles to dark ambient to movie soundtracks. It's crazy.

Food: All kinds! I've just recently discovered a knack for cooking, and I like inventing recipes. Anything with pumpkins is amazing.
The six things I could never do without
1. My imagination
2. Good stories
3. Places to explore
4. Pens and Paper
5. My friends/family
6. Mysteries
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Stories I'm working on currently, or new ideas for stories. Random questions will pop into my head now and then, but Wikipedia has provided a pretty consistent panacea for that.

Oh, and occasionally the possibility of a zombie apocalypse. You can never be too careful.
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with my friends until all hours of the morning, watching movies, reading, playing a game, or talking to someone about nothing in particular until we're both exhausted. I'm not much of partier, but I try to make my own fun in any case.
